Scholarship List for Calvert County Public Schools

This scholarship list is maintained by school counselors from each of the Calvert County high schools. This list is not meant to be all inclusive; these scholarships represent what is sent to each high school in an attempt to advertise available scholarships.

May Deadlines
Miss Utility Scholarship
- Deadline 5/23/2025
- For seniors planning to enroll in a two-year college, four-year college/university or technical/trade school after graduation

Miller Town of Chesapeake Beach Public Service Scholarship
Deadline: May 25, 2025
- Two scholarships of $2,500 for Northern High School students only.
- Must be a graduating senior from Northern High School
- Students must submit a complete a poem or essay no more than 250 words that answers the prompt of: What does Public Service mean to you?
- Essays should be uploaded along with additional information on this online form by May 25, 2025, for consideration.
CSM Scholarship Finder
- Over 200 scholarships available only to students planning to attend CSM
- Must have been accepted to CSM and have completed the FAFSA
- Deadline is May 31 but some scholarships may have earlier deadlines

June Deadlines
Abbott & Fenner Scholarship
- Deadline 6/10/2025
- $1,000 scholarship open to juniors and seniors who plan to pursue post-secondary education

Career and Technical Scholarships
- The Horatio Alger Association awards $2,500 Career & Technical Scholarships to students who have overcome significant challenges and plan to pursue career or technical education at an accredited non-profit post-secondary institution in the United States, such as a community college.

July Deadlines
Better Termite and Pest Control Scholarship
Eligibility Requirements:
- High school seniors enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university.
- Field of Study: Marketing, business, or communications
- Academic Achievement: Minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale
- Essay Requirement: Must submit a 500-750 word essay on a topic related to the following prompt: Education can profoundly shape our lives and the communities we serve. Share a personal story or family experience illustrating how education has influenced you. Additionally, discuss how your degree in marketing, business, or communications will enable you to positively impact your local community.
