SCSD 2024 Spring Break
Spring Break is just around the corner, starting from Monday, March 25th, all the way through to Monday, April 1st. It's time to unwind, recharge, and make the most of this well-deserved break!
School will be back in session on Tuesday, April 2nd, so make sure to enjoy every moment of your time off. Whether you're planning a getaway or staying local, remember to stay safe, have fun, and relax.

SCSD April 2, 2024 Board of Education Election
On Tuesday, April 2, 2024, SCSD voters will have the chance to cast their ballots for 2 open positions on the District's Board of Education. These are volunteer (non-paid), 3-year term positions.

Hardin Dodgeball Event a Smashing Success
Hardin Middle is thrilled to share the incredible news from our recent Dodgeball for Heart Event held on February 16, 2024 – it was an absolute hit! Preliminary figures indicate that we've managed to raise over $5000 for the American Heart Association, marking this year as our most successful yet!
Since our humble beginnings in 2008, this event has grown in leaps and bounds, and our cumulative fundraising efforts now stand at an impressive $29,000. This achievement speaks volumes about the generosity and dedication of our community.
The event wasn't just about fundraising; it was also a day filled with fun and excitement! Students had a blast playing dodgeball, participating in various contests, and enjoying the company of friends. From thrilling games to thrilling dance-offs and singing competitions, it truly was a day to remember!
We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making this event a resounding success. Your support means the world to us and to the American Heart Association. Here's to many more successful years of Dodgeball for Heart!

We're thrilled to announce that several outstanding students from the City of St. Charles School District were honored at the St. Charles County Economic Development Council's annual STEM breakfast on March 8th! These students have showcased exceptional achievements in STEM subjects, both academically or through their extracurricular activities.

SCW Women's History Month Spirit Week
SCHS DECA Dominates State Competition: Students Achieve Remarkable Success
We are thrilled to share some incredible news about our recent successes at both the district and state levels of competition. On February 2, 2024, 21 of our dedicated members participated in the district competition held at the University of Missouri - St. Louis. We are proud to announce that 18 of these members have advanced to compete in the MO DECA State Career Development Conference, which took place in Kansas City from March 3-5, 2024.
Furthermore, five of our talented students have qualified to advance to the prestigious DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC), which will be held in Anaheim, CA, from April 26 to May 1, 2024.

SCW Cross Country Team Honored at Assembly
Last week, at an electrifying ring presentation assembly, we had the honor of celebrating the SCW girls Cross Country team for their remarkable accomplishment of winning the MSHSAA Class 3 state championship for the second consecutive year! It was truly inspiring to witness the entire school community come together to applaud these exceptional student athletes for their hard work and dedication.
Congratulations to our amazing SCW girls Cross Country team on this well-deserved recognition!
Harris Tri-County Science Fair Winners
Harris students Jatin Nunna (KDG) and Amelia Kastrup (2nd) participated in the Missouri Tri-County Regional Science And Engineering Fair - 2024 event held at St. Charles Community College on 9th March. Jatin earned the 2nd place award in the kindergarten category for his project "Identifying How Water Affects Seed Germination". Amelia, an avid figure skater, earned the 1st place award in the Applied Consumer Science category for her project on melting ice. Way to go!
Monroe Students Honored as Principals for the Day
We're delighted to announce that Monroe Mustangs Ahlivia Stewart and Evalynn Czarnecki were named as Monroe Elementary "Principals for the Day"! These exceptional students have earned this honor through their consistent kindness, exemplary behavior, and commitment to meeting PBIS goals throughout the school year. Congratulations, Ahlivia and Evalynn! Your leadership and positive influence are truly commendable!
Hardin Unite Club Celebrates Black History
Hardin's Unite Club had an incredible February celebrating Black History Month! Our talented students poured their hearts into creating inspiring posters honoring Black history and historical figures. On March 7, they gathered for a special assembly where we announced the winners of our poster contest, with the esteemed Mayor Dan Borgmeyer and author Joseph Luckett joining as guests!
Congratulations to all the participants for their creativity and passion! After the assembly, we enjoyed some delicious refreshments and had the chance to admire all the incredible works of art. Thank you to everyone who made this event a success!
