Career Day is right around the corner, and we need your help to make it a success! On November 18th, we're inviting parents to share their unique careers with our students. Whether you're a doctor, artist, engineer, or something in between, this is a great opportunity to inspire the next generation. Each presenter will speak for about 10-15 minutes, and you can choose from one of three available time slots. The kids look forward to this event every year and your participation will make a big difference.

Last year's family-friendly event sold out fast! Grab your tickets today and watch as the Wizards take on some of your favorite teachers and staff members for a night of tricks, hoops, and alley-oops!


All event proceeds will benefit the Pennsbury Education Foundation (PEF). Since its inception in 2003, the PEF has raised nearly $300,000, which helps cover the costs of classroom grants to enhance curriculum for Pennsbury students. Your support of the PEF helps our teachers bolster the District's mission to prepare all students to become creative, ethical, and critical thinkers for lifelong success in a global society.

Makefield Community Outreach


Dear Makefield Families,

Makefield Community Outreach (formally known as the Sunshine Committee) would like to take a moment to let you know more about what we do. This program is sponsored by the MESPTO and has a mission to support teachers, students, and their families to ensure that the entire Makefield community has what they need to be successful in school. In order to reach our entire school community we would like to take this time to describe the resources that we have available this fall and winter. We will reach out again in the spring with more information about future opportunities.

If you would like to use any of the options below, please reach out to Colleen Wierzbowski cwierzbowski@pennsburysd.org. To respect the privacy of all of our community members, Colleen will be the only one to receive emails and requests. The committee will fulfill her requests, but will never know who the resources are going to.


In the Fall and throughout the year we provide:

  • Teachers with Back to School Gift Cards to help set up their classrooms

  • The Nurse with new clothes for days when kids might need to change

  • Daily Snacks for each classroom like pretzels or animal crackers for days when kids forget

  • Halloween costumes

  • Books for reading at home

  • Back to school supplies

  • Vouchers for Oktoberfest

  • Vouchers for Thanksgiving pies

  • Scholarships for Fall Enrichment classes and Field Trips

  • Gift cards for food and clothes


In the Winter we provide:

  • Winter coats, boots, hats, and gloves

  • Vouchers for students to use at the Holiday Shop and the Book Fair

  • Vouchers for Paint Night

  • Valentines

  • Gift cards for food for holiday breaks
