Spotlight of the Week
Happening at the Daley
Looking to have your child take part in a fun activity? Would they benefit from a little extra academic instruction? Then register your child for the April School Vacation program, where students can improve their math and ELA skills through exciting activities, explore the outdoors with Green Team Club, work on their shooting skills in Basketball Club, or discover engaging stories in Short Story Book Club.
The April Vacation program will be held Tuesday, April 22, through Friday, April 25, from 7:20 am to 11:20 am each day. Students will be served lunch and a snack and receive a one-of-a-kind long-sleeve T-shirt if they attend at least three days.
There will be no bus transportation available. Students will need to be dropped off and picked up from school, or have permission to walk.
A limited number of spots are available in each club, so parents and guardians are urged to register their children early as we are expecting a lot of interest in this April vacation program.
If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Daly at sdaly@lowell.k12.ma.us.

Exploring Asian Culture Club
Students will explore Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cultures, traditions, dances, arts, and crafts, all while making and sampling different Asian noodles.
Short Story Book Club
Fuel your child's imagination with our dynamic book club! Students will dive into captivating short stories paired with engaging hands-on learning and discussion, seamlessly blending literature with interactive activities. Our program creates a fun and supportive environment, sparking curiosity and fostering a lifelong passion for reading and discovery.
Sports and Games Club
Sports and Games Club
Students will play some of their favorite games while learning some new ones. Students will test their skills – and get plenty of exercise – playing games like cornhole, kickball, paddle ball, four square, and volleyball. There will also be competitive activities such as Jenga, Connect Four, Mario Party and Mario Kart. They will learn about teamwork and how to effectively communicate to solve problems while having FUN!
5 & 6 Geometry Club
Whether you are strong in math or not, geometry is often considered the most difficult part of math for middle school students to master. Our comprehensive vacation week geometry camp will take a hands-on approach to the subject, exploring the foundational elements of angles, dimensions, and shapes. Students will be trained in the use of a ruler and protractor to measure and draw various figures. They will also review how to identify and mark the dimensions of a given shape, and how to use those dimensions to calculate the shape's area or volume.
7 & 8 Algebra/Geometry club
Get prepared for the MCAS or for high school math classes with this algebra/geometry camp for 7th and 8th graders. The camp will begin with a review of fundamental algebra skills, focusing on the manipulation of equations to isolate and solve for a variable. We will then transition into geometric applications of these skills, building and solving equations from formulas to solve problems involving angle relationships, measurements of circles, and surface area/volume of 3D figures.
Basketball Club
Students will be learning and practicing all aspects of basketball including shooting, dribbling, rebounding, passing, individual defense, and team defense. They will incorporate individual and team games to keep it fun and enjoyable while developing the skills needed to become a better basketball player.
Volleyball Club
Students will practice all aspects of volleyball including passing, setting, spiking, serving, and defense. Participants will incorporate individual and team games to keep it fun and enjoyable while developing the skills needed to become a better volleyball player.
Flight School Club
Students will fly drones, build competition-level paper airplanes, and construct and fly rockets made from soda bottles. It’s a great way for students to acquire math and technological skills, all while having plenty of fun.
Art Club
Students will have a great opportunity to share their imaginative ideas during this April vacation club. Students will use their creative talents to produce imaginative works of art through both structured, guided activities, and independent art choices.
Green Team Club
Join fellow students as we deconstruct and rebuild our garden! With the help of Mill City Grows, members will be able to work with drills, lumber, and more as we remodel all of the garden beds and create a few new benches! Members will also enjoy outdoor activities that will inspire them to continue to learn more about our environment, ecosystems, and how to grow your own healthy food.
Please note: Our "Imagine Recognitions" is for students and staff members only.
Both staff and students can be recognized by staff and students.
Recognitions are announced on Fridays during morning announcements.
