HPP Governors’ Update: Spring 2024
Dear Parents/Carers
Spring term is always busy and this year has been no exception. Despite being the shortest of the three terms, there is no less activity packed in to it and no doubt children and staff are now looking forward to a well deserved break!
For governors a key activity for this term has been to approve the school's budget for the new financial year (which runs from April to March). We are extremely grateful to our Federation Business Manager, Mrs Drake, for all her hard work in setting and then managing the budget throughout the year.
In recent years, schools across the country have faced growing financial pressures and managing expenditure against income has become an increasingly complex balancing act. At HPP we are grateful to have a relatively good financial position, setting a budget that allows us not just to operate the school but also to continue investing in school buildings and resources. In the current climate, this is a position that we do not take for granted.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank parents and carers for the many and varied ways you contribute to the school. The combined impact of this support (whether it be termly donations, providing resources for your children to use in the classroom, making prompt payments for school trips and activities, declaring eligibility for pupil premium funding, volunteering your time or supporting our wonderful parent association) is significant and allows the leadership team to plan and ensure all of our children continue to enjoy the wide range of activities offered by the school.
Wishing you all a relaxing spring break,
Mary Buxton and Jane Fallon

FoHJS News
We are thrilled to announce that from September 2024 HISNA and FoHJS PTA'S will become one association across both schools. Creating a new charity will further build our school community, raise lots of funds, make the experience of parents and carers easier in engaging with our organisations and critically provide lots of fun and enriching experiences for children across the partnership
This partnership is a wonderful opportunity for both groups to pool their resources and expertise.
We need your help! We need a name for the new organisation and want our brilliant parents, carers and children to help! Please complete the e-form with your ideas. We are keen to represent those themes that are important to our organisations and the school values - think Bees, partnership, community and more!
More information will follow on our plans for September. As always if you are interested in joining please email friendsofhamptonjuniorschool@gmail.com and contacthisna@gmail.com
