Our students had a hands-on experience in the digestive system lab, where they learned about how food travels through the body. Through fun experiments and activities, they discovered the important roles each organ plays in digestion. It was a great way to engage and deepen their understanding of this essential system!
Celebrating National Heritage Month and Dรญa de los Muertos!
Our 6th-grade art students created their own Alebrijes, inspired by Mexican artist Pedro Linares! Using unique shapes, bright colors, and vibrant textures, they brought these mythical creatures to life in honor of our shared heritage. Additionally, some of our artistic Lions painted a giant guitar for the Fiesta de Palmas at the McAllen Convention Center.

McAllen Education Foundation Grant
Congratulations to Ms. Y. Castillo, Mrs. M. McMillan, the IB Team, and Mrs. A. Cavazos-Arjona for being awarded McAllen Education Foundation grants! DeLeon received the largest grant amount awarded so far, and weโre excited to see the positive impact this will have on our campus and students!
