Brief Message From the Office Staff
During Advent, as we prepare our hearts for the celebration of Christβs birth, we naturally become more open to acts of kindness and compassion. This season of waiting reminds us that generosity is a gift we share with one another, reflecting Godβs love through our actions. We are incredibly grateful to our parents and families who demonstrated this generous spirit through their donations to the Christmas Bureau, helping to bring hope and joy to those in need. Your support truly embodies the meaning of Advent, reminding us that we are all connected as one faith community.

πΈ Highlights of the Week
Snowman/Creation Contest Sparks Winter Fun at St. Martinβs!
This week, Mr. Murphy excitedly announced a new school-wide Snowman/Creation Contest during our outdoor recesses. With the fresh blanket of snow, students were encouraged to let their imaginations run wild, sculpting everything from classic snowmen to creative winter masterpieces.
Armed with mittens, hats, and big smiles, our students have jumped right in, creating scenes that reflect their unique personalities and artistic flair. From tall, friendly snow figures to imaginative snow creatures, the playground is quickly transforming into a wonderland of winter creativity
Check out some snapshots of our studentsβ creations as they embrace the spirit of the season. Their enthusiasm for friendly competition, coupled with their teamwork and cooperation, truly exemplifies our values and school spirit. You can see more on our Facebook Page as well.

MHCB @ St. Martin's
MHCB in-class programming has now concluded until after Christmas break. Grade 1 finished the Worry Woo curriculum and grades 2 through 6 completed their units in the Open Parachute program which focused on Having and Showing Empathy, I Can Be An Upstander, The Impact of Being Unkind, Stop Bullying Behavior and Identifying Positive Qualities in Others. Lessons tied in nicely with the anti-bullying activities that students participated in during Anti-Bullying Awareness week, November 18th to 22nd. November 25th to 29th marked National Addiction Awareness Week (NAAW). During this time, MHCB aimed to increase understanding of the stigma associated with substance abuse and addiction, and the impact it has on people affected by this issue. This year, staff enjoyed some holiday βmocktailsβ and snacks as an alternative way to celebrate the Christmas season. β Mrs. Scripture
