The Scripps Middle School Theatre Conservatory would like to cordially invite families to attend the production of Annie Jr. Performances will be on both January 30th and January 31st at the Lake Orion High School Performing Arts Center. General admission tickets will be sold at the door - CASH ONLY! $10 per adult, $5 per student.

**Due to the high volume of attendees in the past, we will hold two sessions at staggered times:

6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. – Opening presentation in the Auditorium
7:15 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. – Student activities and class information in the Commons
Last Names M-Z:
7:15 p.m. - 7:45 p.m. – Opening presentation in the Auditorium
8:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. – Student activities and class information in the Commons
Included in the evening:
- LOHS course scheduling information will be discussed
- Department representatives will answer curriculum questions
- Activity information provided for groups, such as clubs, athletics, and G.A.P. programs

Practices daily at LOHS after school beginning: January, 15, 2025 @ LOHS. A shuttle will take athletes to LOHS after school each day.
All Athletes must have an athletic physical signed by a physician dated after 4/15/2024.
Families can schedule athletic physicals with their family doctor or a walk-in clinic.
FinalForms:
Parents and Athletes are to complete the student registration in FinalForms. Those that registered in FinalForms last year, you will have to review your information and update if there are changes. This must be completed prior to attending tryouts and/ or practices.

· Scripps Spirit Wear is always available. Please contact the PTO via Facebook or email if you are interested in purchasing spirit wear.
· The No Hassel Fundraiser is still going! PTO accepts cash, checks made out to Scripps PTO or Venmo @scripps_PTO. Cash and check donations can be sent to school and given to Ms. Palmer in the office. The PTO appreciates all the donations received to date.

There are two ways to access powerschool to check grades, locker information, attendance, grade history and missing assignments.
Student Access:

Username & Password are the same students use to login to their school issued laptop.
Parent Access:

Each parent can set up an individual username and password to check grades, attendance, missing assignments and to schedule conferences. Parents can also link multiple students to their account.

Bus Passes & Early Dismissal
Bus Passes
Bus passes should only be for child care, athletics and family emergencies. If your child needs a bus pass we must have documentation with a parent/guardian signature (a scan/picture will work) submitted to Mrs. Palmer in the main office. .
Early Dismissal
If your child needs leave school early, please remember to bring identification when you enter the building. Only adults who are listed in Powerschool as "school pickup" will be permitted to pick-up a student from school early.
Please note, students will only be dismissed from school after 2:00 p.m. if there is a family emergency. Thank you for your support in this matter.

Free Meals in 2024 -2025
The state of Michigan’s 2024 budget included a return to free meals for all students.
The standards for students to receive the meals for free:
- Every student is entitled to one free breakfast, and one free lunch per school day.
- Students must take a fruit or juice with their breakfast entrée for the meal to qualify as a complete meal and be FREE.
- Students must take a fruit or vegetable (they may take both) with their lunch entrée for the meal to qualify as a complete meal and be FREE.

Note: It is important that all families who qualify for free and reduced lunch complete the form within this registration process to receive additional services at reduced cost (pay to participate for athletics, holiday assistance, field trip assistance etc.) The forms are available at https://lakeorion.familyportal.cloud/.
Distinguished Dragon Staff Recognition
Lake Orion Community Schools is launching a program in 2023-24 to recognize LOCS staff members for their excellence.
The intent of the Distinguished Dragon program is to ensure that staff members who go above and beyond their regular duties are appreciated. The additional effort or support can range from helping an individual to helping a group or any effort that seems worthy of praise.
The staff member can be nominated by a student, parent, community member or a colleague by completing the form at Distinguished Dragon Submission
We ask for the submitter's name and contact information to follow up with specific questions if necessary. Please make sure to select the appropriate school/department form so the message is routed in the proper direction.
Please complete the form entirely so the individual can be appropriately honored for their contributions.
