Hello, families!

As we wrap up the school year, our hearts are full of pride and gratitude. This spring has been a beautiful season of growth, creativity, and connection for our 3K and 4K students—and what a journey it has been!

🌟 4K Highlights
Our 4K students have blossomed into confident early learners! We’ve seen incredible growth in early literacy, as children explore letter sounds, form simple words, and proudly write their names. The spark in their eyes when recognizing a sight word or completing their first sentence is unforgettable.

In science, our budding explorers dove into spring-themed investigations—learning about plant life cycles, weather changes, and insects. These hands-on experiences sparked curiosity and helped deepen their understanding of the world around them. 🌱🦋

🌈 3K Milestones
Our 3K learners have also made amazing strides this quarter. From independently following daily routines to expressing themselves through music, movement, and art, their growth has been nothing short of inspiring. They also explored simple cause-and-effect science activities, building a strong foundation for lifelong learning. 🎶🖍️

📚 Creative Curriculum in Action
Both our 3K and 4K classrooms have fully embraced the NYC DOE Creative Curriculum this year. Through play, structured exploration, and intentional teaching, our students have flourished cognitively, socially, and emotionally.

🤝 Family Engagement & End-of-Year Celebrations
This spring, we celebrated meaningful connections with our families through joyful classroom events. And we’re not done yet!

Our talented 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders will take the stage for a spectacular Dance Show! Families are warmly invited to attend and cheer them on. Enjoy refreshments and celebrate our students’ creativity and confidence!

As we wrap up another amazing year of afterschool programming at Hunters Point Community Middle School, our hearts are full of gratitude, pride, and joy. It’s been a year of growth, creativity, achievement—and so many unforgettable moments!

📅 June at HPCMS kicks off with New Student Orientation on June 4th, where we’ll welcome our future 6th and 7th graders to the community. It’s an exciting time to look ahead, even as we reflect on everything our current students have accomplished this year.

🎳 Year-End Bowling Trip
To celebrate a year of hard work and success, students from the 82nd Street Academics afterschool program will head out for a well-earned bowling trip! From earning medals in track & field to staging an incredible school play, our students have continued to shine inside and outside the classroom.

🎉 Spirit Week Send-Off!
We'll end the year with Spirit Week, where students will celebrate their school pride with fun, themed days and community-building activities. It’s the perfect way to close out the year with laughter, creativity, and school spirit!

As the school year comes to a close, we’re celebrating the hard work, growth, and memories made at REN 1 with two special events that our students truly deserve!

🎳 June 6th – Bowling Trip: End-of-Year Celebration
We’re kicking things off in style with a fun-filled bowling trip! Students will enjoy a day of strikes, spares, and plenty of smiles as they celebrate a successful year. It’s the perfect opportunity to relax, bond, and reflect on all the accomplishments we’ve achieved together.

🍕 June 13th – End-of-Year Pizza Party
On the last day of the afterschool program, we’ll be throwing a festive pizza party to wrap up the year! With delicious food, laughter, and great company, it’s our way of saying thank you to our incredible students and staff for making this year so special.

To our REN 1 families: thank you for your continued support and partnership throughout the school year. We’ve had an amazing time learning and growing together—and we can’t wait to see what the future holds! 💙

Time to get moving! Our students will wrap up the year with an action-packed Field Day, filled with outdoor games, friendly competition, and plenty of smiles. It's the perfect way to celebrate teamwork, energy, and the joy of movement! ☀️🎈

📚 June 13 – Last Day of School
As we close out the school year, we do so with pride in all we’ve accomplished and excitement for what lies ahead. Thank you for sharing this journey with us!
