RRHS PTSO Scholarships
DEADLINE APRIL 18
The RRHS PTSO scholarships will run from Saturday, March 8th through Sunday April 18th, 2025. Please make sure that your parent/guardian is a PTSO member by Friday, March 16th, 2025 in order for you to be able to participate in the contest.
The contest essay titles are as below-
- RRHS PTSO Academic Excellence Scholarship Essay: “What person and/or people have supported you in your pursuit of success? In what ways have they supported you?” (Total 350 words)
- RRHS PTSO Community Scholarship Essay: “Describe a project that you have completed that positively impacted your community.” (Total 350 words)
- RRHS PTSO Character Scholarship Essay: “Describe a time where you chose to stand out and not follow the norm, and the lessons you learned from this experience.” (Total 350 words)
- RRHS PTSO “The Phoenix” Scholarship Essay: “Describe a time where you “overcame the odds” and excelled beyond expectations.” (Total 350 words)

Federal Water Quality Association - Environmental Scholarship
Three scholarships in the of $2,000 each are planned to be awarded in 2025 to encourage young people to prepare for careers in environmental protection by supporting studies leading to a bachelor's degree in applicable sciences and engineering.

2025 Financial Merit Award Phi Beta Kappa Association
Each year, the D.C. Area Phi Beta Kappa Association (DCPBK) offers awards of $1,000 to deserving recipients living in the Washington, D.C. metro area.
Phi Beta Kappa is the nation's oldest and most eminent academic honor society, with almost half a million members. Since 1974, DCPBK has made this award annually to recognize outstanding local students and assist them with college or university tuition.
Students receiving our award must show a commitment to the values and mission of Phi Beta Kappa, including academic achievement, community involvement, and a dedication to the liberal arts and sciences. You can find more information about the award and application criteria on our website.
Applications must be submitted electronically by 11:59 PM on April 6, 2025. The application can be accessed on our website or through this form. If any of your students are unable to access the online application, please email awards@dcpbk.org and we will send along a Word document version. Successful applicants will be notified in late April.

Falcons Landing Scholarship/Air Force Retired Officers $5,000 per high school
Air Force Retired Officers Community (AFROC) / Falcons Landing Scholarship 15 @ $5,000 – one per high school
Criteria: Must be a graduating senior from a Loudoun County public high school
Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA or better Must be attending a two- or four-year accredited college or university
Attach a copy of FAFSA
Transcript must be included
Two letters of recommendation
Incomplete applications will not be considered
Deadline: Complete application package must be emailed by April 30, 2025.
