Toros Triumph as Scholars, Leaders and Champions!
Dear Toro Families,
What a fantastic week we’ve had at Yorba Middle School! I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for your support and involvement in all of our activities.
Last Tuesday, our students danced away at the YorbaLandia Dance! It was wonderful to see the students enjoy themselves while demonstrating positive behavior and school spirit. A big thank you to all the parent and staff volunteers who made the event possible. We couldn't have done it without you!
Our Pink Out event in support of breast cancer awareness was a success. It was heartwarming to see our students and staff show solidarity by wearing pink and spreading awareness about this important cause.
Red Ribbon Week (October 23-27):
Next week, we will be celebrating Red Ribbon Week with a series of engaging activities focused on promoting a healthy, drug-free lifestyle. Our theme this year is "Be Kind to Your Mind. Live Drug Free." Keep an eye out for daily dress-up themes and fun activities, including an interactive assembly for students.
Volleyball, Football, and Flag Football Tryouts (October 24):
For all our aspiring athletes, we will be holding tryouts for Volleyball, Football, and Flag Football on Tuesday, October 24th. Students who are interested should sign up in advance and come prepared with the necessary gear. We encourage all who are interested to try out and show their school pride!
Thank you again for your ongoing support.
We look forward to another great week of activities and opportunities for our students to shine!
With Toro Tenacity,
Dr. Mónica Luther
Principal
Yorba Middle School

💜♉💜Toro Love to Mia💜♉💜
We wanted to take a moment to provide an update on our beloved student, Mia, who was critically injured in a tragic accident on September 29. We are relieved and grateful to share that Mia has been released from the hospital and is making remarkable progress in her recovery.
On Tuesday, Mia was able to visit her friends and teachers during lunch, bringing joy and hope to our school community. While she still has many appointments and doctor visits ahead, her resilience and spirit are shining through, and we are so pleased to report that she is doing much better.
As we continue to support Mia on her journey to recovery, let us unite in our efforts and keep her in our thoughts. Together, we remain #MiaStrong💜💜
Thank you for your ongoing support and care.
