Native American Artifact Museum
Fourth graders have been learning about how the geography in New York State provided Native Americans, Europeans and Africans an ideal place to develop their unique cultures and to shape their diverse social, political and economic interactions and environments. In collaboration with Ms. Trotta, our Library Media teacher, the fourth grade team and students created a culminating project to celebrate the end of this first unit of study in Social Studies. Please see the invitation below for details about this special event for students and families.
Bellows Recognizes National STEM Day with MobileED BOT! Assemblies
Ms. Trotta hosted two special enrichment assemblies today recognizing National STEM Day. All grades attended one of the two assemblies facilitated by MobileED entitled, "BOT! The Secret World of Robots". Students were led on a high-tech adventure through the exciting world of robotics. There were hands-on demonstrations and audience participation as students discovered how important Science is to our future as well as how scientists, archaeologists, the police and other organizations are constantly enhancing how they work and the lives of others through the use of robotics.
The New Student Council Logo is...
Congratulations to Sam Thilo in Ms. Soderlund's class for winning the Student Council logo contest. From October 28 through November 4, all students at Bellows voted on the logo they thought represented Student Council best.
Our Strategic Plan Hashtags!
As we continue our work with the district's Strategic Plan, we want you to be on the lookout for these special hashtags when you are following us on the social media platforms. Each goal as well as the plan as a whole, have their own unique hashtag that students in grades 5-12 and Rye Neck staff voted on.
Goal 1 - #RNlearns
Goal 2 - #PantherVoices
Goal 3 - #LeadersLeaRN
Entire Strategic Plan - #PanthersImpact
Drill Notification for the Week of 11/11-11/15
This is to inform you that this week we will be conducting an Evacuation drill, which will take place during a lunch period. This drill will allow us to practice evacuation in a less structured and more crowded setting.
The purpose of all drills is to ensure the safety and preparedness of our students and staff in case of an emergency.
Please rest assured that this is only a drill and not an actual emergency.
For any questions or concerns, feel free to contact Mr. Scarantino directly.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Important: Visitors and Dropoffs
Please note that there is a sign on the visitor sign-in kiosk ➡️
- All visitors entering the building must sign in with ID at the Raptor kiosk at the front entrance. If you have forgotten your ID, you can type your information in. Once you are signed in, please ring the doorbell to gain entry. Your visitor sticker will print inside the building.
- If you are dropping off a student, just ring the doorbell and we will let the student in. No need to sign in.
- If you are only dropping off lunch, homework, etc, just ring the doorbell and we meet you at the door. No need to sign in.

5th Grade Locker Decorating
Fifth graders who would like to decorate their friends' lockers for their birthdays can do so, as long as it is planned in advance with the main office. We ask that parents and students read and follow the Locker Decorating procedure and rules.
