7th Grader Talitha Fuller attended the Massachusetts Science & Engineering Fair
We would like to congratulate Talitha Fuller on her success at the Massachusetts Science & Engineering Fair she attended on May 10th! Her thoughtful inquiry and high quality of work earned her the honor of being chosen to represent Millis Middle School at the Massachusetts Science Fair earlier this spring. Her performance at that event further earned her a spot at the State level where she received an honorable mention award for her incredible work. We are so proud of Talitha!
DRAMA CLUB NEWS
Millis Middle School Drama Club performed a play that was written by Millis High School sophomore Chace O'Connell, which earned a bronze medal at the drama club competition they competed in earlier in the month! The students finally performed the show under 40 min. If they hadn't, they wouldn't have received any medal. Wow, great job to all!!
Three of our students received awards for Outstanding Acting Performances too. Aureja Johnson, grade 8, Troy Wainwright, grade 8, and AJ Mingles, grade 7 were the recipients of these awards. Congratulations to Aureja, Troy and AJ!!!!
Principal's Note
Hello Millis Small School Big Family,
MCAS math testing is complete for all grades. We are so proud of our students! Thank you for the extra effort to get students to school each day ready for these assessments- it takes a village!
We have had a great year of homework clinic, student council, art club, drama club, poetry club, Terpsichore and so many other wonderful activities. We are so proud of our athletes and creative kids. Please note that as we are winding down the year, there will be no more late bus on Wednesdays.
Our eighth grade teachers are making arrangements for their completion festivities. 8th grade parents and care givers, please review emails from Mrs. Shepardson and Mrs. Monaghan detailing the events of Class Day and luncheon, the evening promotion ceremony at 6PM in our gymnasium, and the dance from 7-9 PM - all on Thursday, June 13th. We recommend photos prior to the completion ceremony with family so students can easily transition into the dance. We are excited to celebrate this important milestone with you all!
