Major's Minute
On our vacation, we were chatting with some friends after church. As we were walking outside the parking lot, we couldn't find one of their little girls. Yes, the area was large. She didn't want to go home and she was doing her best to hide. As we walked down the sidewalk, we realized it wasn't too hard to find her. I had to take a picture of her hiding place. It was so amusing.
It makes me think of us and how we want to hide sometimes. Hide from God, responsibility, confrontation, growth ... it's kind of funny. But, God knows us and lovingly carries through.
We are sharing our heartfelt thanks for the prayers for us while on vacation. We are also so appreciative of those who took care of all of the details for Sunday worship and the regular operations of the week (Kristen). We are so blessed knowing that we have your support. Thank you!

**Note - We are updating our volunteer files. We'll be asking current and new volunteers to complete the volunteer packet. We will also be giving you instructions on how to get additional fingerprinting (now required by law) for those who work with youth. You will not need to pay for anything. We will guide you on how to get this done.**

Blessings of the past couple weeks ...
We are so proud of Lillian for receiving the Stillwell Award at the Western Music Institute. This is the highest award and is well deserved! In addition Lillian also received recognition for excelling in the trombone and received an additional pin.
Toiletries kits received to bless the community.
Some school supplies also received.
More toiletries from Alternative Sentencing.
What a blessing to visit Amber and Braden in Eugene, Oregon. We saw their town, new apartment, and worshipped with them on Sunday.
Enjoying God's creation.
Celestine on a solo ride.
Janae with cousins at WMI.
We praise God for the opportunity to visit church members in homes, restaurants, the coast, on hikes, in freezing cold water. We even got to visit the missed sea lions in Newport.
We'll miss Rhys Jones who helped us during the week for music and youth programs. We enjoyed volleyball with him, meals, and so much more. He is on the move to Oregon. He is now the Divisional Music and Creative Arts Director for the Cascade Division. We are proud of him and will continue to pray for growth in the Lord and the ministry he's been given.
Trick or Treating at CANDY CORN WAY
We're inviting the community (including yourself) to come to our First Annual Trick or Treating at CANDY CORN WAY - Getting the community onto our property to know that we are here and bless them. For our first event we are asking for hosts to decorate, purchase candy for, and/or pass out candy at the doors of our property from 5 - 7 PM. We'll have a handful of lawn activities and music - nothing too overwhelming our first year. We pray to meet families and grow this event each year to come.

Rally Sunday and Potluck - Date change
This is our time to celebrate being back from summer traveling and getting back to the rhythm of meeting together at church. It's also a great time to invite friends and family to your church and be a part of the worshipping body. Plan to bring a side dish to share. But remember, the most important thing to bring is YOU!
