Parent/Teacher Conference will be tomorrow from 3:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Please make every effort to come visit with your teacher about your child. We aim to have 100% participation, because it is crucial that students, teachers, and parents are all involved in helping our children succeed. Thank you in advance for taking your child's education so seriously! This is one reason why our school is amazing! This is why our students are doing such a great job and showing a lot of growth!
Our Book Fair will start on Monday, February 10th. It will last all week! The money raised helps Mrs. Billos buy books for our library. We are so proud of our new library and we are so blessed to have Mrs. Billos as our librarian! Mrs. Billos always has a great selection of cool books and fun items for us to buy and enjoy. Books are one of the best gifts you can give a child. Reading with your child daily is a gift that lasts a lifetime and is a certain indicator of academic success!! If they see you enjoying a good book--even better!!
Our Math Family Night will be Thursday, February 13th from 5:30 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. We will have a lot of fun math activities for your child to enjoy. We will have a discussion with parents about ACE( Adverse Childhood Experiences) Scores. This is a really interesting subject and understanding it can help all of us understand how important a healthy childhood is for each child to have. We will have cookies and drinks to enjoy! We hope you can join us!
Thank you to everyone that is using the carline, calling in when your child is absent, and helping your child nightly with their homework. These things may not seem important, but trust us--they are extremely important and we appreciate everyone that is helping our school by doing them! If you are not doing these three things at the moment--PLEASE start today!
Our Valentine's Day parties will be on Friday, February 14th at 1:30 p.m. Your teachers will send home notes telling you what you can bring for this exciting event! You are welcome to come join us!
Our fundraiser is in full swing! Thank you for selling chocolates and for bringing in the money promptly! You are the reason we can do fun activities for our students! Everyone loves chocolate-especially at this time of year when love is in the air! All money is due February the 19th!
Type A and Type B flu have been in our school. We are doing everything we can to minimize germs. Please talk to your child about washing their hands, coughing into their shirt, and keeping their areas clean. Also talk to them about making sure that they are being good friends and making good choices. Between school and home, our kids are going to be the best citizens in the world! Children want boundaries and they want loving discipline. Well behaved children with good manners are the happiest little people because of the good attention this brings to them!
