Blessing of the Animals ๐ถ๐ฑ๐๐ฆ๐ธ๐ฆ
On Friday, October 4th, Father Wesly will be blessing your animals after our 10:30 am school Mass. The students will process to the lower field near the stands after Mass. The blessing will take place there around 11:45. We asked that you leash your pets and process down onto the field when it is time.
Trunks Needed! ๐
Students whose parents volunteer their trunks will receive the most coveted prize- a Golden Ticket. Use the following link to sign up. Home and School are also awarding prizes for best trunks. Don't forget- after Trunk or Treat is our Fall Fest down in the field. Home and School has some great things planned for the day.
Thank you, Deacon George! ๐

Student Shout-Outs ๐ฅณ
Congratulations are in order for Mrs. Kalil's class. They already filled up their marble jar! I also want to shout out our 3rd and 4th graders who helped Mrs. Hogan with MAP testing by sharing their Chromebooks with the younger students. Great job!

Sunday's Gospel Connection ๐
The second part of todayโs Gospel contains a strong message for those who share the responsibility of fostering faith. It is indeed an awesome responsibility. Todayโs Gospel reminds us that faith is a lifelong journey toward God. We donโt always get it all or even get it right. But we pray for the grace to acknowledge and build upon even the smallest signs of faith, in ourselves and in others. There are plenty of obstacles that might prevent the growth of faith. Let us pray that we are not contributing to the obstacles that might hinder another personโs faith in Jesus.
As you gather as a family, observe that there are things in our lives that nurture our faith and things that can hinder it. Talk about some of the things that nurture our faithโhealthy family relationships, healthy friendships, good literature, and so on. Name some of the things that might be an obstacle to faithโunhealthy relationships, scandals, and so on. Observe that Jesus teaches us in todayโs Gospel that we are to do everything we can to help one another have faith in Jesus and do all that we can to avoid creating obstacles that might hinder another personโs faith. Read together todayโs Gospel, Mark 9:38-43,45,47-48. Conclude by praying together that we will be a family that helps each other grow in faith. Pray together todayโs psalm, Psalm 19, or the Lordโs Prayer.
