THE LION'S ROAR!

FROM OUR PRIDE LEADER
Hello Norris Lions!
We are beyond proud of our Norris Lions for their amazing GROWTH on our Winter MAP assessments! As a whole school, we beat our growth goals in BOTH Reading and Math! Go, Lions!
Our students tracked their growth points with paper chains all throughout the main hallway- one link for every point of growth! The students and staff had so much fun building their class paper chains and watching them grow down our hallways.
Be sure to check out the Winter Reading Challenge from Mrs. Harris in the Library, linked below, to keep those skills sharp when we come back to school in January!
We hope that Winter Break brings time for you and your families to enjoy making memories, resting and relaxing, and spending the days with those you love the most.
See you in 2025!
Mrs. Dolezal, Principal
Bond Information Presentation at Norris
Did you know Millard's levy has consistently dropped since 1999?
On January 9th at 5:30 PM, MPS Superintendent Dr. John Schwartz will be at Norris to share information about the upcoming 2025 Bond Election.
Millard Public Schools is seeking a bond to improve safety and security and to continue the ongoing renovation and maintenance schedule to keep schools efficient. The bond proposal is $158 million dollars. The bond would not increase the tax rate.
Key Information:
- The election is February 11, 2025.
- The bond would not increase the tax rate.
- The vote is by mail, and ballots will be mailed to all registered voters in the Millard community.
- Ballots will be mailed on January 21st and can be returned by mail or at the election office.
- To be counted, ballots must be received by 5 p.m. on February 11th.
I encourage all parents/guardians who are free on January 9th to attend this informational presentation in the library. Q & A will follow. Dr. Schwartz does an excellent job explaining the ins and outs of school bonds and answering questions from our community.
Hope to see you there!
Congratulations to this week's ROAR Ticket Winners!
