The after school news crew has done it again! April's news segment below:
A Message from Daniel
We need to stop BULLYING please help. There are kids at Ann SOldo that are bullied or bothered every day. Help me stop BULLYING once and for all!"
"No one knows the pain except the person getting bullied."
Now a Message from Mrs. Parker about how to report. There are RED Boxes around the school were you can report problems and concerns. You can also go to our school website or follow this link to find the STOP IT APP, where you can also report: https://appweb.stopitsolutions.com/login. You will either have to search by the name of the school, or enter the school code "annsoldo1", and then you will be able to report an incident.
As Daniel said, STOP THE BULLYING>>>>>> BE KIND - it is easy to spread KINDNESS.
Leave phones at home.
Kindness ROCKS!

Suggestions for getting out the door on time in the morning:
Choose clothes the night before.
Sleep in clothes so that your child can wake up and go.
Prepare the lunch and backpack the night before.
Ensure that your child goes to bed at a decent hour - our young children need between 8-10 hours of sleep. They should not have access to phones or video games at night, when they should be sleeping.
Wake up in time to not feel rushed.
Set an alarm, or set two alarms.
Leave the house 5 - 10 minutes earlier, to plan for traffic, changes in the weather or road construction.

Birthday Celebrations may occur once a month and need to be organized with the classroom teacher.
Food and Nutrition Policy
Birthday celebrations will be organized ONE TIME A MONTH, with a focus on healthy options. PLEASE do not bring food without connecting directly with your teacher first.
Please do not send your child with candy or Takis/Hot Cheetos.
We will no longer allow food-based treats for individual student birthday celebrations. Students may bring in pencils, bookmarks, bouncy balls, bubbles, etc. to share with their classmates on their actual birthday. However, cupcakes/sweet treats and pizza are not to be brought to school, unless previously arranged with the teacher for the monthly celebration.
Other classroom or school wide celebrations , such as a special DOJO celebration or class behavior-related celebratory party (i.e. We filled our marble jar earning marbles for our stellar behavior choices!), or a holiday-related party (i.e. Valentine’s Day; Halloween) will take place on occasion . Healthy snack and drink choices must also be provided for students wishing to stay away from the less healthful foods.
Thank you for supporting our school rules and values: Responsibility, Respect, Kindness, Safety and Risk Taking. THESE CAN BE YOUR FOCUS at home as well.
