Back to School!
We will be heading back to school in just a week. We are excited to welcome 9 new first graders to our Elmore School family this year! Please assure that sign into your parent portal and complete all forms prior to the first day of school. The first day of school is Monday August 26th. Students may be dropped off beginning at 7:30am. School begins at 8:00. A Bus Schedule can be found on the District Web site https://www.lamoillesouth.org/bus-routes . If your child will be absent or late for any reason during the school year, please call the school by 8:00 am @ 802-888-2966 to let us know. Illness and medical appointment's are generally the only absences that are excused.
Ice Cream Social:
Don't forget to come to our Ice cream social on Thursday, August 22nd from 6 - 7 pm. First grade families are invited to arrive at 5:45 for a "tour" of the school and for students to familiarize themselves with the classroom.
Back to School Conferences:
Friday, August 23rd for all new students. Returning families are welcome to schedule a conference if you like by emailing me @ mailto:diane.nicholls@lamoillesouth.org
Meals:
Breakfast will be available daily beginning on Tuesday, August 27th. Please pack a healthy snack for your child each day. Snack will be around 9:30 each day, and we will eat lunch at 11:30. School lunch is available Monday - Thursday with hot lunch available on Monday and Wednesday. Sandwiches and Salads are available Monday - Thursday. Breakfast and Lunch are FREE for all students. You will need to email me your lunch orders for the week on Sunday by 6:00 pm each week. On Fridays we will have Family Hot Lunch. It is suggested that each family sign up to bring lunch one or two dates though out the school year. You can sign up to bring lunch using this link https://mealtrain.com/eg2w0e.
Dismissal:
Dismissal is a 3:00pm for students getting picked up. The bus usually arrives around 3:15. If your child will be riding the bus, please send a note indicating such. Additionally, if you child's dismissal plan changes for any reason, please send a note regarding the change.
Students are welcome to stay on play on the playground after school under your supervision. Please be mindful of student behavior and monitor your child(ren) as they play. We ask that students follow school rules when they are using the playground after school. In general, this means students treat each other and the equipment respectfully and safely. All equipment should be stored in the shed before you leaving the property. We appreciate your attention to these matters.
