ExpandED Student and Family Expectations
We ask that all students and families:
- set up a dedicated time and space for learning each day
- check your email daily, especially NPS student email accounts
- read and respond to communication from teachers and our office
- inform us of issues or changes to contact information in a timely manner
You can reach our office at expandEDhelp@normanps.org or 405-801-3810
Getting Started with Classes
K-5 students will have workbooks to complete paper assignments. These will arrive a few weeks into the semester. You will receive pick up information from your teacher when they are ready. Until workbooks arrive, families may print assignments themselves or discuss other options with their teachers.
6-12 students will complete all work online, so no books are necessary.

About Us
The Norman Public School District has expanded educational opportunities to accommodate the growing needs of students and families. ExpandED is an innovative program designed to serve students who benefit from a customized, self-paced, virtual education solution.
While the district has offered online courses for more than a decade, this program provides participating students with the flexibility to complete all of their coursework outside the traditional school building or blend their learning experience by attending some classes at school. Norman Public Schools teachers work closely with students to guide them through online curriculum and customize lessons as needed. ExpandED students also have the unique opportunity to participate in on-site extracurricular activities, including 6A athletic teams and world-class fine arts programs.
