Dear Almond Families:
Would you like a one-stop-shop for joining the Almond PTA, registering your child/children for school activities like the Almond Singers and Birthday book club as well as supporting programs like the Eagle Scholarship fund and LAEF? Then complete your Back to School Registration now! The Almond Back to School Registration System is required to be completed by all parents/guardians of children attending Almond and is different from the PowerSchool Registration operated through Los Altos School District. Volunteers needed for Hot Lunch for 2019-2020 School Year
We are still seeking a few more volunteers to help with serving hot lunch this school year. Time commitment on scheduled days is approximately 11:40am-12:40pm. You may specify how often and what weekdays you are available. Even just once a month is a huge help. Main responsibilities are helping to hand out food and ensuring children in the lunch line are moving through quickly.
If you are able to volunteer, please email Laura Gao at lauvid@gmail.com or you may sign up on this spreadsheet: 2019-2020 Hot Lunch Volunteer List
ALMOND SINGERS STARTS TUESDAY!!
The Almond Singers Chorus, under the direction of Mrs. Margaret Barnett, will have its first rehearsal this Tuesday, September 10th from 7:30am to 8:15am, in the Multi. Almond Singers welcomes students Grades 2-6, no experience necessary. We have two concerts (Winter & Spring) at Almond in the Multi, and participate in the LASD Choral Showcase. If you'd like your student to become an Almond Singer, please sign up online through the PTA Back to School Registration, or contact Margaret Barnett at margaretmbarnett@gmail.com.
6th graders need Cabin Leaders for Walden West trip
Dear parents,
We are looking for past students, 15 or older, interested in coming to Walden West as a cabin leader. They will receive training beforehand and can earn up to 100 hours of community service. This would be a great opportunity to develop leadership skills and interact with Almond students. We plan to attend Walden West November 4-8 this year with sixth-grade students from Gardner Bullis. If your child is interested in joining us for this trip, please let us know. You may find more information or apply online at waldenwest.org/volunteer (be sure to request the dates of our trip). If you have any questions, please let us know.
Thank you,
Mr. Stuart
Mr. Linvill
Ms. Vriksha

Thanks to the generous LASD families who have contributed to LAEF this school year and helped us reach this important milestone. We’re off to a great start!
Our goal is to raise $3.4 Million to fund teachers and staff for STEM, Wellness, Literacy, and Arts this school year.

- Check out the new list of 2019-20 Parent Education Speakers coming this school year, made possible, in part, by your donation to LAEF.
Every student at your school benefits from the teachers and staff funded by LAEF, and that’s why we strive for 100% parent participation. Visit LAEFonline.org to learn more and Donate or Pledge Today!
