What's Happening at Griffis

CMISD loves 212 Day. It is such a great experience watching our students become servant leaders by giving back to their community.

Are you new to Caddo Mills and wondering about the activities on 212 Day? On this day, the students of CMISD devote the entire day to serving the community. Although our students are actively involved in community service throughout the year, 212 Day is special as it enables them to give back to the community in a significant and impactful way.

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming up! PTO has a lot of fun things planned for the week and we need your help! You can always give monetary if you do not have time to go to the store. We can go for you :) THANK YOU for all you have done this year! We are on the home stretch! Please be mindful of your portions. There are 90 staff we will be accommodating.

Don't miss the Annual Chamber of Commerce Fox Fest downtown Saturday. Support our local businesses who support CMISD.

Coach Summers and Mrs. Mann have lots of FUN things planned for us on this day! Our students will begin being bussed over shortly after 8:00 AM. We plan to begin Opening Ceremonies at 8:50 and begin at 9:00 AM. Please join us for an amazing day!

PTO is selling School Supply Kits for the 24-25 school year Click the link below to order your kit today. These will be delivered to campus in August before Meet the Teacher.

Our last Lunch on the Lawn is Friday, May 17th. If you plan on attending, a RSVP link will be sent at a later time. We anticipate a large crowd, so arrive early in order to park and make your way to the side soccer field. You may park in the front or back of Griffis. It's going to be a great day!

Lunch on the Lawn dates will not be rescheduled if they are canceled due to weather.

We are excited to continue this program with Griffis Elementary PTO this coming this year!

The Watch D.O.G.S. Program brings male role models such as dads, stepdads, grandpas, uncles, etc. into the school for the betterment of the school, the students, and the community!!

Are you interested or know someone who may be?

We ask for a commitment of a partial or full school day just ONCE per year! Of course, you can volunteer more often!

8:00 Tardy Bell/ Class Starts

Students not in the building by the 8:00 A.M. bell are considered tardy. Please refer to our campus handbook regarding our tardy policy. If your child is tardy, please do not drop your child off. For their safety, your child should be signed in. Please come to the front to sign them in.

Each month, we will focus on a particular character trait. Mrs. Wygal will give daily announcements regarding that trait to help the students put it into action. Each month, teachers will be looking for positive referrals from their class that they feel has best demonstrated the monthly trait. The trait for the month of May is commitment.
