Dear Bear Creek Families,
In December your child will take the middle of year(MOY) MAP assessment in both reading and math. As the month of December offers many opportunities to socialize with family and friends, please be aware that we use this middle of year data point to influence instruction for the Spring. We ask that you seek to keep routines in place so that students arrive to campus rested and ready to learn. Also, if your child is absent, email your teacher ASAP. We want to assure that MAP make-ups are well coordinated. MAP MOY Data will go home with student in January 2025. We will wait until the testing window in closed to print and release scores.
What a fun week we have all had! The Book Fair was a tremendous success. Thursday's Thanksgiving Day Luncheon saw about 600 Bear Creek family members join us. A special thank you to Coach Powell, Coach Garcia, and Coach Pua'a for Cub Olympics.
May each of you have a wonderful week of rest and family time. See you all in December!
Looking ahead:
CAC Meeting Monday, December 2, 2024
Bear Creek Movie Night Friday, December 6, 2024

Sincerely,

United Way for Greater Austin - ConnectATX (www.connectatx.org)
Texas Health and Human Services - Call 2-1-1 or (877) 541-7905 to speak to a live operator.
