Dear Wildwood Elementary School Community,
Summer is here and it's time to bid farewell to another incredible school year! As we reflect on the memories we've shared and the lessons we've learned let's cherish every moment we've spent together.
To our dedicated teachers and staff, thank you for your unwavering support, guidance, and passion for nurturing young minds. Your dedication has made a profound impact on each and every one of us.
To our wonderful students, you've shown resilience, creativity, and determination in the face of challenges. Your bright spirits have illuminated our halls, and we're incredibly proud of all that you've achieved.
To our parents and guardians, thank you for your partnership and trust in us. Your involvement in your child's education is invaluable, and together, we've created a thriving community of learners.
Let's continue to explore, learn, and grow, knowing that our Wilwood family will always be here, ready to welcome us back with open arms.

Wayne-Westland Community Schools Summer Programs 2024 Registration
The Wildwood Watch
BUSting with Learning Summer 2024!
This summer the district is loading our school buses with books, games, literacy materials, school supplies and more for Pk-5th grade students! Throughout the summer, they will be stopping at Wildwood to hand out all of the FREE, cool stuff! While you are there, you can join in some fun literacy activities led by district staff!
They will be visiting Wildwood on:
- Tuesday, June 18 from 10:00am - 11:00am
- Wednesday, June 26 from 11:30-1:00pm
- Tuesday, July 16 from 2:00-3:15pm
Wildwood 2024-2025 School Year Registration
Since Wildwood will be closed for the summer due to construction, any registration for the upcoming school year will take place at the school board office located at 36745 Marquette St, Westland, MI 48185. They will be open Monday- Thursday from 8:00 am-4:30 pm.
Fall Flag Football and Cheerleading Registration
Registration is now open for Wayne-Westland Community Schools; FREE cheerleading league for students who will be in 4th and 5th in the fall 2024. The games will be on Saturdays:

October 19
October 26
The student(s) must be registered to attend a Wayne-Westland Community School.
To register your student for cheerleading, please complete this form by Friday, August 30, 2024. Players will be placed on a team on a first-come, first-served basis.

Summer EBT Reminder π
As the school year winds down, we want to remind you of the transition from the Pandemic EBT (PEBT) program to the new Michigan Summer EBT Program. This initiative aims to support families purchasing food for their school-aged children throughout the summer months! Visit the link below for additional information!

Corwell Health John Glenn Teen Clinic
The Corewell Health John Glenn Teen Clinic is open! We provide physicals, hearing and vision screenings, immunizations, sick care and asthma management. We will also have mental health services available in the near future. We are grant funded and accept all insurances, however, no patient will be turned away for inability to pay.
The clinic is located at John Glenn High School, 36105 Marquette, Westland, MI.
Family Resource Center
Wayne-Westland Community Schools has a Family Resource Center (FRC), which provides services to any student/family enrolled in our District, free of cost. Some of the services they provide are essential needs assistance, access to over 700 local resources, a Laundry Assistance Program and material items for those unable to afford them (emergency toiletries, socks/underwear, hats/gloves/scarves, etc.) They can also supply school supplies and backpacks year-round for any WWCS student. Please contact our Family Resource Center at 734-419-2709 or FRC@wwcsd.net. Our FRC also has a Digital Request for Services Form, which can be used to request assistance by filling out a simple form. Please contact the Family Resource Center directly with additional questions regarding their services.
Lunch Balance and PaySchool
If you need to add money to your student's PaySchool account, please click on the link below to access the PaySchool system. Please allow 24 hours for your students updated balance to be reflected! You may also send in cash on Thursdays to give to your child's teacher to purchase extra slices of pizza.
Care Solace
If you or a family member are looking for help with mental health or substance use, Care Solace can help you quickly find treatment options matched to your needs regardless of the circumstance. Care Solace is a complimentary and confidential service provided to students, staff, and their families by Wayne-Westland Community School District. Care Solaceβs team is available 24/7/365 and can support you in any language.
