BIRCH Friday News!
November 1st
Dear Birch Families,
Thank you so much for joining us at our Halloween Parade yesterday! It was such fun to see so many families out celebrating with us, making the day truly special for our students. The costumes were so fantastic this year, filled with creativity, humor, and Halloween spirit—it was clear that everyone had a wonderful time!
We’d also like to invite you to attend our Specials Showcase events that are held throughout the school year. These showcases offer Birch families a unique opportunity to learn about and experience the amazing music, art, and physical education programs at Birch. Our students are excited to share what they’ve been working on, and we hope to see you for these special events!
Our next all-school event will be our annual Friendsgiving Pancake Breakfast, happening on Friday, November 22, 2024, at 7:00 AM in the school cafeteria. This breakfast is free and open to all Birch families, and we hope to see many of you there to enjoy a morning filled with food, friendship, and gratitude. As part of the event, we’re hosting a fundraiser for our local food pantry, FISH. We welcome canned food donations from those who are able to give, helping us share the spirit of the season with those in need.
Thank you again your continued support. We look forward to seeing you at both our Friendsgiving Breakfast and future Specials Showcases!
Warm regards,
Tanya Santee

Daylight Saving Time ends this weekend!
On Sunday, clocks will "fall back" one hour at 2 a.m., giving us an extra hour of sleep and marking the shift toward shorter days and longer nights. This change signals the start of Standard Time, lasting until the clocks move forward again in the spring. With the sun setting earlier, it's a great reminder to adjust schedules for safety, especially for evening activities and commutes. Enjoy the extra hour, and don’t forget to set those clocks back!
BOOK SWAP
Have your kids outgrown some of their books? Would you like to pass them on to the Birch community? Birch is doing a Book Swap! Bring in your gently loved books throughout the month of November. Mrs. A will organize them and have them out for students to select from at Friendsgiving Breakfast on November 22nd. With your donations, everyone can start Thanksgiving break with new-to-you books to read!
