Lenski Weekly Update

Happy Snow Day!

We hope that you all enjoyed the early start to the weekend!

We are looking forward to next week with our rescheduled Veterans Day Breakfast on Monday and PTO sponsored Hawkquest Assembly on Thursday. Thank you to the Palmer Family for their work in bringing this assembly to Lenski!

It felt very wintery this week!

Please note that we do our best to get students outside for recess, even when the weather isn’t in our favor. We take many things into consideration when determining an inside day. The temperature needs to be 20 degrees or higher, but we also factor in wind chill in our decision. If it is too wet and raining, we keep in mind student safety.

Please have your student come prepared for outside recess during the winter months. Snow boots, snow pants, hats, gloves, etc. If your student doesn’t have snow boots, they must stay on the blacktop.

Students are not allowed to throw snow. Please remind them. Thank you!

Hi Lenski Families!

We are offering Art to Remember at our school this year. Art to Remember is a program that turns your child’s own creative artwork into keepsake products such as mugs, cases, tote bags, mouse pads, magnets, t-shirts, and more. We will be sending home the product brochure and ordering information next Monday. There are over 50 products and many are less than $20. Proceeds from the program go to the art department to purchase supplies such as paint and clay for our students to continue to grow as artists! It’s a great way to support the art program and a wonderful, creative way to make something special to give as gifts for the holidays or to keep just for you. All orders will be placed online but will be sent to the school so you won’t have to pay for shipping and arrive in the beginning of December!

If you are interested in volunteering to help during lunch recesses, we would love to have you! Check in as usual at the kiosk. Then, come into the front office to receive your yellow vest. You may come up with your own game, or click here to preview games with videos. We’ll also have a binder with additional ideas in the office to choose from.

Kg 11:15-11:35 (primary playground)

1st 11:35-11:55 (grades 1-5 are on the intermediate playground)

2nd 11:55-12:15

3rd 12:15-12:35

4th 12:35-12:55

5th 12:55-1:15
