Collier Elementary PreK - 6th

May is here and summer is around the corner! We are all ready to jump right into summer break!

However, first we will spend time celebrating all the learning that has happened this school year. We have seen our students grow in many ways. From reading and math to fine arts and science, our students have all grown and changed this school year. We are so very proud of each and every one of them. Make sure to check out the calendar of events for May to see all the events happening! We know you will find lots to join us for!

As we look to summer remember that learning happens all around you every day! We hope that you take time to learn something new each day. Learn to swim longer laps, run faster, learn a new skill like sewing or cooking, learn about a place that you are visiting, read a new book, and complete a math problem or two!

To our Collier 5th and 6th graders that are moving on to new schools, we will miss you! We hope that as you continue your educational journey. You take a little piece of Collier with you always.

We are already working hard to prepare for next year and knowing who is returning is critical for us to make plans. It's almost summer!

Make sure that you are ready for the next school year: Check to see if your student is due for a check-up with their pediatrician. Now is the time to schedule appointments for the summer if your child will need a sports physical, immunization boosters, or updated action plans for chronic health conditions on file for the 2025-2026 school year.

As we head into the final weeks of school, I want to take a moment to thank you for a wonderful year. It’s been a privilege to support your students as they’ve grown, learned, and navigated all the ups and downs of the school year.

It is our final month of OMA at Collier for the school year. We are wrapping it up with trips to the symphony and preparing for our final presentations.

Here are some very important dates to put into your calendar:

Also, don’t forget to take a look at our yearlong project on narrative quilts. They will be on display throughout the school beginning May 1st!

Thank you, Collier Families for a great year filled with so many fun family activities!!

The PTA was happy to provide many events this year such as the Glow Party, Movie Nights, Monster Mash, Skate Country Nights, Family Eat Out Nights, Kona Ice, Ready Tech Go, and more! To continue all these fun family events we need parents to be on the PTA Board. If you could please help out, please see the office for details!!

We also would love to have as many parents sign up to be our PTA! If you sign up it does not mean you have to volunteer, but allows us to have a strong committed group that supports our students and staff! All funds raised through membership and fundraising helps us pay our insurance fees and goes directly back to students and staff on campus each day!
