Principal's Message
Dear NISL Families,
MIST (Muslim Interscholastic Tournament) is a fun, educational, and interactive tournament for high school students across the United States and Canada. The closest chapter in our region is MIST Nashville, located in Nashville, TN. This weekend-long program features competitions and workshops and is held annually for students in grades 8-12.
We are excited to recruit students for Louisville’s first-ever MIST team, which will compete from April 18-20, 2025. Participation is open to all Muslim students in Louisville, regardless of which school they attend.

Details
- The Tahfeedh Quran program runs Mon-Fri.
- Offering flexible time slots.
- Open to both NISL students and Non-NISL students.
- Helping students of all ages learn how to read with tajweed, memorize and deepen their connection to the Quran.

- 60% of students memorized 10 pages of Quran
- 29% memorized 1 Juz

Explore vowel teams and letter combinations that represent multiple sounds. This unit focuses on vowel teams like oo and ū, as well as how different letter patterns create these sounds.
Small Groups:
Group 1: Vowel Teams /oo/, /ū/
