AMC 8 Math Competition
Between the dates of January 22-28, 2025, students in grade 8 or lower have the opportunity to compete the American Math Contest 8. We currently have 11 students who are signed up for this online test. If interested, you may register your child using this link: Student Registration URL: https://maa.edvistas.com/datamate/testRegister.aspx?id=8a1a5771-9604-4757-af33-a9fdeb25896c. I will reach out to their school to schedule a time for the 50 minute test that week. The cost is $10 and payable via cash or check made out to Lindbergh Schools. Payments should be sent to the Idea Center.
Idea Center
The Idea Center is a place where I learn about myself and others, use my brain, and be creative each day!
A couple of Cold Weather tips for school:
Students will go outside for two recesses every day as long as the temperature and windchill ("Real Feel) are 20°F or above. Please ensure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for the weather with coats, hats, and gloves.
It’s also very helpful to write your child’s name on their winter gear to make it easier to return items that may end up in the lost and found. Thank you for helping us keep students warm and prepared for outdoor play!
Recent Co-pilots!
Thanks for making a difference at the Idea Center!
Evelyn B.--While I was away at a conference for a couple of days, the sub wrote in her notes, “Evalyn was so helpful with little things throughout the day.” I was so grateful to hear how Evalyn made the sub’s day a little bit easier. Way to go Ev!
Archie H--Archie carefully cleaned up the pomegranate mess in the coat room. Thank you for taking care of our building!
Aiden C.--He is always willing to help students in the classroom with anything they need. This week I witnessed him help carry projects for others, clean up after others, offer to get something off the bus for a friend who left something, but was getting picked up that day and so many more amazing things. He is a true friend to everyone in the classroom.
Emma D.--Emma is always the first person to offer to help her teachers and classmates. While I was getting my sub plans together, Emma helped me sort papers and organize my folders to leave the sub. I also witnessed her helping classmates clean up after projects when they were feeling overwhelmed.

Lindbergh Lights the Way Annual Giving Tree Program
The Giving Tree program brings joy to children and families in need by providing toys, gifts, and essentials during the holiday season. Each year, with the support of our generous community, we brighten the lives of 60-65 families. By partnering with us, you can make a direct and meaningful impact—turning wishes into reality and creating cherished memories for those who need it most.
Give the Gift of Warmth to Lindbergh Families
This holiday season, your donation to Lindbergh Lights Up The Holidays will help families in need keep their homes warm and safe. We assist with essential utility bills—like electric, gas, and water—for families facing critical hardships. While our drive happens during the holidays, your support provides relief all year long.
