Administrators Message
It is starting to look a lot like Christmas in our school. Student leadership has lights up in the hallways, Christmas Hamper collections has started and classroom doors are being decorated. Christmas is a time of giving. Giving does not need to cost a lot. It is giving of your time to help others, spending time with family and friends and enjoying the many winter outdoor activities.
"We are at our best when we help others" anonymous. We are returning to our annual Raise the Roof contest. The collection of non-perishable food items for the Tofield and area Christmas Hamper program. The classroom with the tallest tower of collected food will win a pizza party. We are also collecting new socks, mittens and toques those will be placed on the Christmas tree by the office. Deadline is December 12 for both campaigns.
As winter has returned we are in the middle of our annual illness season. We are seeing absences around 20% each day. We appreciate parents keeping their child home when sick.
Please be in contact with your child's teacher as to what they have missed on google classroom
Caught being a Titan. In quarter 2 all staff will be nominating those students who have demonstrate being a respectful Titan as per our behavior matrix. In January we will have a Caught being a Titan celebration and also have these students names showcases on a bulletin board, newsletter, social media and sent out to the school community.
Parents do you want to understand how to best support your children in the use of social media. We have a parent presentation by JOe Media for all parents in Tofield on Thursday December 15 from 6:30 pm to 8 pm. This presentation will be both dynamic and informative. See there.
We wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. We look forward to our students return on January 5/2023.
