Scott Middle School's Motto- "We Enter to Learn and Leave to Achieve"
Our Fall Pep Rally
Our student council led the assembly by announcing student names. At the end we had a tough time choosing, but our 6/7 Team won the color war. Congratulations!
We are very proud of all our Scott Middle Schoolers, and we are looking forward to our Winter Pep Rally.
Golden Ticket Prize Winners for the Month of November
Congratulations to our November Golden Ticket prize winners! Last Monday, ten Golden Tickets were pulled from the box in the main office. Golden Tickets are earned when students go above and beyond our expectations of Respect, Ownership, Courage, Kindness and Safety. Staff give them to students when they are really impressed. The following 10 students were given the choice of a Dunkin Donut or a Fall craft.
Congratulations to: Hunter Lattanze, Kaden Short, Angel Perez, Anthony Segura, Callen Boyer, Leah Pinkerton, Mirna Caal Tec, Yelianiz Salcedo-Cancel, Kylee Dart and Julia Russo.
Keep up the great work! We are so proud of you!
November's Students of the Month... Kylee Jackson and Finn Randler
Employee of the Month for November...Mrs. Fisher
Congratulations, Mrs. Fisher! We are very lucky to have Mrs. Fisher as a member of our Scott team. She works with families and mentors her fellow teachers without being asked. Her patience with her students and dedication for them does not go unnoticed! She is an amazing teacher who is filled with patience and kindness. Mrs. Fisher exemplifies all of the Scott ROCKS. She is so patient, kind, and dedicated to her students. She stands up for them and puts in the time to support them.
Thank you for all that you do to help our students and staff here at Scott!
We also want to congratulate our runners up: Mrs. Concordia, Mr. Handerhan, and Mrs. Carlson. All three staff members were given a gift card to treat themselves at Dunkin. We have an amazing team here at Scott.

November and December PBIS Focus...Bus Behavior
We have noticed that our students are needing many extra reminders to make safe choices on our busses to and from school. At our team meetings last week, we discussed the expectations for behavior on the bus: Staying seated, using quiet voices and respectful language, keeping hands and other body parts inside the bus, and never throwing anything out of windows. We spoke about how important it is for our bus drivers to be able to focus on the roads in order to keep them safe and they cannot do that if they are worried about the poor choices happening behind them.
Our bus drivers now have ROCKStar tickets and will be giving them to students that make good choices on the bus. We are hoping that by focusing on the positive we will be able to change the energy that has been happening on some of our busses.
Please take a moment to review bus expectations with your student. We appreciate your support!
Change in Student Home Access Center Login Method
The Coatesville Area School District IT department is working on improving digital security for students and one of our improvements includes changing the student login method for Home Access Center (HAC).
Effective 11/18/24 students in grades 6-12 will sign in to HAC using their district email address and password with Microsoft 365 single sign-on (SSO).
What will change?
Students will have a different URL to sign in to HAC and use their district provided email address and password to log in.
The existing Home Access Center button on our district website will redirect visitors to select either Parent or Student for Home Access Center
Students will no longer need to contact their guidance counselors for a password reset to access HAC.
Elementary School student HAC access will be turned off for security reasons.
Parents/Guardians who used their student's HAC account to view information will need to self-register for an account (see below).
What will stay the same?
Parent/Guardian HAC accounts for grades K-12 will not be impacted. Our self-registration process will remain available as well password resets as they have in the past.
If you need to register for an account, please see the attached instructions.
