We are expecting 4th grade to be returning from their field trip at the same time as Board Game Club will be dismissing. To avoid confusion and traffic congestion, if you are picking your child up from Board Game Club tomorrow, please pick up in the rear of the building near the outdoor classroom. 4th grade parents will pick up in the front of the building.

If you have a fifth grader at Salford Hills we would love some photos of your fifth grader (with his/her classmates) over the years at Salford Hills. If you have photos from socials, Race for Education, field trips, or any other school events, we would appreciate your sharing them with us for the 5th Grade Memory Book. Please do not send any individual photos or photos of events outside of school. We exclusively need photos (of two or more children together) from events at Salford Hills.

First grade had a wonderful time visiting the Crayola Factory!

3rd grade was just one of the many celebrating Leap Day!

5th grade spent time celebrating their writing accomplishments with some hot chocolate and special visitors.

Souderton Superintendent, Dr. Gallagher, spent time reading the story "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" to kindergarten students.

Each student at Salford Hills got to take home a new book to read!

1st grade students paint rainbows as they talk about Spring in their classrooms.

4th and 5th grade Blue Crew Ambassadors show their leadership by reading to K-2 classrooms and running their morning meetings.

Our next Home & School Meeting will be Tuesday April 16th at 6pm in the cafeteria. This will be our last meeting of the year -- NO meeting in May! Childcare will be provided. We hope to see you there!

Board elections were held at the March meeting. Heather Zeigler will continue as President and we will welcome Cassandra Clemens as Secretary beginning July 1st! Thank you for your willingness to volunteer!

Souderton Area School District will occasionally use Flexible Instructional Days (FID) rather than traditional “snow days.” Here is a brief reminder of FID expectations:

• A FID is considered a school day. To be counted as attending school, students must respond to the Schoology discussion post/question posted by their teacher. Students must respond to the post by 10:00AM. If a child is unable to access the Internet, then the parent should call the school office at 610-287-9197 to leave a message on the attendance line indicating that the student was unable to access Schoology to answer the discussion post/question.

• Students must complete schoolwork via Schoology. There will be no live sessions. Children may complete schoolwork at a time that is convenient for their family. Your child’s teacher is available, via e-mail, throughout the school day to answer any questions that you or your child have regarding their schoolwork.

• Students or families experiencing technology problems may contact the Student Help Desk for technology support. A link to the Student Help Desk is available by clicking here. Before submitting a support request, please follow the three steps below:

1. Restart your device (power off and power back on).

2. Check that your device is not in airplane mode.

3. Check that the wireless connection is enabled.

In preparation for your child's use of a 1-to-1 device in the 2023-2024 school year, please complete the Mobile Device Use Agreement and pay the device protection fee. Please see the details below.

Each year, the student/parent mobile device use agreement must be completed, and the device protection fee must be paid, via one of the methods below.

• Option 1 - Complete agreement and pay fee online.
  *Note: If you have never paid through Pay Online/RevTrak, you will need to create an account.
  
• Option 2 - Print agreement and make payment in-person: Complete and sign the Student/Parent Agreement (English | Spanish | Vietnamese). Please send the signed agreement and payment for the device fee to school with your child.

Devices will be distributed to students during the first week of school.

The Salford Hills HSA invites you to volunteer at Salford Hills this year! The HSA helps coordinate volunteers for classroom activities, social events, school events, etc. As a volunteer, you are welcome to serve as much or as little as you wish. For example, help during a specific event, assist in organizing an event, lead a committee, help in your child's classroom, and more. There are so many ways to serve Salford Hills and we would love to connect you with opportunities that would be a good fit for you and your family.

In order to be contacted regarding these opportunities, you must join our volunteer list by filling out the form below. There is no commitment by joining our volunteer list. By signing up, you will simply join our list to be notified of events needing volunteers and other opportunities to get involved.
