SVDP School
January 22, 2021
Hello SVDP Community,
Our pilot of hosting 5th & 6th graders in AM/PM cohorts is underway, and we appreciate all those working to make it a success. We also appreciate the 5th Grade for hosting our first livestream liturgy this morning "Celebrating New Beginnings and Being Peace Makers." It was a combination of livestream, recordings, technology, and patience. Thank you to the students, Ms. Spinale, Mrs. Bruno, Ms. Jenks, and Father Roy. You can still watch by clicking the title above.
Next Friday is on the calendar as a Minimum Day. We ask that you adhere to the same pick-up schedule as a modified school day. Your children will not have asynchronous work or closing circle in the afternoon.
The state of California has recently shared the COVID Prevention Plan (CPP) expectations to reopen schools. Schools that have been approved or have already reopened must still adhere to the outline of the plan and post all relevant documents on the home page of the school website. You can find the new updates by accessing our plan, Together We are...SVDP. Infection Mitigation Plan.

Pick Up & Drop Off --- Keep Up the Good Work!
Please use the following tips/tricks to help us keep the line moving for everyone.
12:10 – drop off begins for the afternoon 5 th and 6 th grade cohorts. You may drop off at the east entrance of the courtyard for your health and temperature check. *
12:20 – pick-up begins for Kindergarten
12:30 – pick-up begins for 1 st and 2 nd
12:40 – pick-up begins for 3 rd and 4 th
12:45 – pick-up beings for 7 th and 8 th
Do not arrive early, as this causes a backup for others that have arrived on time.
If you are responsible for two different pick-up times, please exit the line and reenter at Fillmore and Green.
Remember that MUNI and SFPD have asked us not to allow turns from Steiner onto Green --- from either direction.
Turn right on Pierce from the pick-up line.
*Health Checks – if you are participating in the 5 th or 6 th grade PM cohort, please have your child’s health check confirmation ready (even if you showed one in the AM for a sibling). Students may also complete it for themselves and/or keep the screenshot of their own device.

Spelling Bee
On Thursday, we hosted our Spelling Bee --- outside. It was a little chilly, but we were happy to be able to host this annual event. This year's winners were Olivia Syme (3rd grade) and Cameron MacLeod (8th grade).
Cameron will go on to the Bay Area Regional Spelling Bee to represent Saint Vincent de Paul School.
