Lenski Weekly Update
March 7th, 2025
From the Principal's Desk
It was so nice to see all of our Lenski Families this past week at conferences! Our teachers loved being able to connect about your Superstar’s growth and progress so far this year. It’s hard for us to believe that spring break is just around the corner! Time is flying. On behalf of the Lenski team, we want to thank you for the yummy Baked Potato Bar for lunch! It was absolutely amazing! A special thanks to Megan Beckman for organizing this tasty feast! We have the BEST parent community!
This past week, many of our grade-levels went to see Littleton High School’s production of Cinderella! It was an incredible show and we had 6 Lenski students participate in the Children’s Chorus! They did a great job!
Enjoy your long weekend! Two weeks to Spring Break!
With Lenski Love,
Jessica

Use of School Grounds After School
We want to remind families of our school policy requiring students of all grades to be supervised by an adult if they remain on school grounds after dismissal to play. Over the past two weeks, we have had several incidents involving student conflicts and disrespect toward staff when children were unsupervised.
Our priority is ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all students and staff. While we encourage play and socialization after school, we ask that families ensure active adult supervision at all times.
Thank you for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and positive school community.
Storywalk Comes to Lenski!
We are excited to announce a StoryWalk at Lenski!
We invite family, friends, and our school community to enjoy reading, walking around our school, and being outdoors to enjoy The Paper Bag Princess by Robert Munsch this month. Come again after Spring Break for Strega Nona by Tommie DePaola.
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk promotes early literacy, physical activity, and family time together outdoors. Families take a stroll and enjoy successive pages from a children’s story along the path!

From the Counselor
This week, I was able to attend my first “Town Hall” meetings at Lenski. These meetings are an example of how communal this school is–that we have shared goals and expectations schoolwide to keep ourselves and others safe by way of making positive choices.
Colorado Health and Safety Standards for grades kindergarten- five state the students should be able to recognize and communicate about risky or potentially harmful situations. During our Town Hall meetings this week, Ms. Lessmann taught students about the importance of knowing what we are putting in our bodies, specifically related to medication. She coined a phrase “Check First,” meaning students should always check with a trusted adult when they find or are offered an item to ingest that they are unsure about.
As classroom teachers continue teaching these health and safety lesson, perhaps you can have a conversation with your student about what they are learning and how to make smart choices that show they are taking care of themselves.
