Good Evening Blue Jay Families:

This week we were able to celebrate our 8th grade students at their graduation. It was a wonderful night that highlighted our student leadership. I hope that each of our students was able to pause to reflect on their accomplishments and growth these past three years. A huge thank you to our staff for planning the event and our 6th and 7th grade band and orchestra students for their performance at it. Please look to D109 social media for pictures from the event.

Also this week there were special events for our 6th and 7th grade students. Our entire 6th grade and many of our staff members completed a service project at Feed My Starving Children. It was amazing to see how much they have grown and how they worked together as a team to pack 106 boxes of food that make 59,328 meals. Our 7th grade competed in an Olympics-themed competition. Students came together to represent countries and compete! Seeing every 7th grade student actively engaged with their peers was awesome. Thanks to our staff who planned these events for our students.

I hope that you have been impressed by the growth our students have made. None of this would have been possible without the unwavering support of our families. Your partnership and involvement in your child's education have been invaluable, and I am grateful for the trust you have placed in us to nurture and guide their academic and social development.

Wishing you all a safe, restful, and joyous summer break. May it be filled with laughter, adventure, and moments of reflection. As a reminder locker day is August 14th 1-4 PM and the first day of school is August 19th. There will be more communication from CMS as we approach the start of the school year.

Caruso is pleased to offer cold weather gear options for ALL 6th, 7th & 8th grade Physical Education (PE) Classes. We want to emphasize that purchasing these items is entirely optional. However, should you decide to acquire them, students will have the flexibility to wear these specialized garments both indoors and outdoors during PE sessions.

Our initiative to provide these specialized items is designed to ensure that students have suitable attire for PE activities, distinct from their regular school attire. This distinction is crucial as regular clothing can become sweaty and soiled during physical exertion. Additionally, the Cold Weather Gear features students' names on the backs of the sweatshirts, adding a personalized touch.

To place an order for the Caruso hoodie and sweatpants, please click on the provided link below. Orders will be conveniently delivered directly to the school during the first week of August and distributed on locker day or during the first week of school should you choose to wait. Kindly note that Wednesday, July 10, 2024 is the hard deadline for placing orders.

Furthermore, it's important to mention that the cost of PE shorts and shirts has already been covered by all families through school fees. These items will be distributed to students at the beginning of the school year.
