FREMONT ELEMENTARY & INTERMEDIATE
April 15 - April 19, 2024
A MESSAGE FROM MR. LADENBURGER
Kids Heart Challenge
A huge thank you to all of you and our students who participated in the Kids Heart Challenge. Another big thank you to Mr. Bonner, Mrs. Spino, Ms. Northup, Mr. Sciutto, Mrs. Jeffries and Mr. Wyatt. The elementary students raised $14,787 and the intermediate students raised $18,848. Your support and participation in the Kids Heart Challenge/American Heart Challenge makes a tremendous impact in helping millions of Americans through increased awareness of cardiovascular disease, lifesaving scientific research and critically needed education efforts.
3rd-5th Grade - Moving to Chromebooks
Since the start of the 2022-2023 academic year, the Intermediate School faculty have been assessing the possibility of making the switch to having our students utilize Chromebooks as opposed to the iPads that they are currently using. This assessment involved gathering teacher feedback, conducting classroom pilots at every grade level, and soliciting student input. Following extensive planning, we have decided to proceed with this change, effective at the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year. Further details regarding the collection of student iPads and the logistics involved will be communicated in the upcoming weeks. As we close out this year and begin next year, our students and staff will participate in learning experiences to ensure a smooth transition between devices.
Take Our Community Survey
Fremont School District 79 greatly values the feedback of our entire community. The District is currently in the process of developing a 10-year Educational Long-Range Facility Plan (ELFP) that encompasses enrollment forecasting, facility and systems assessments, grounds, traffic management, as well as other community-based considerations. To properly plan for the future of our facilities and our impending enrollment growth, we are seeking the input of our community to learn your priorities.
This survey is anonymous and should take approximately 8 minutes to complete. It will remain open through Monday, April 22. We hope to hear from as many of you as possible and look forward to sharing the results!
