Thank you to everyone who joined us for last week’s Coffee with the Principal! Your participation and insights help us stay connected and strengthen our partnership in supporting your child’s success. Those who attended learned more about Second Step, our schoolwide program focused on fostering social-emotional learning, and had the chance to visit classrooms to experience our Buddy Reading program in action. We are thrilled to share that our school will be spotlighted this week in CVESD Stories, highlighting our dedication to making reading a top priority. Congratulations to Mrs. Dedrick's 1st grade class for having the highest average!

Schoolwide our average increased from 91.72% to 93.58%. Regular attendance is the foundation for academic success. Together we soar!

Students with perfect attendance from 12/4-12/17 will be invited to the attenDANCE on 12/18.

Continue to ask your child daily: Did you get into the Learning Pit? At Otay, we encourage students to use a growth mindset to face challenges, have a go at something new, try with a willingness to be confused or make mistakes along the way, and to persist in problem solving.

• Every minute of instruction counts. If your child forgets snack, lunch, or water, do not worry. Second Chance and lunch will be provided. They also have access to water fountains. We kindly ask that you refrain from dropping off any items. Let’s work together to help our falcons build responsibility.
• Please note that if your child is not picked up on time at dismissal, you'll need to sign them out from the office.
