Hunt County Health Dept is required to speak with high school seniors about IMMTRAC2 and the need to consent as an adult and what that means to them.
They will be educating senior students about IMMTRAC2, the Texas Immunization Registry, that makes a lifetime of immunization records accessible in one convenient location for people of all ages. Many high school seniors have a vaccine record saved in the database currently because their parents consented for it to be there. However, once these students turn 18 years old, they are considered adults and the parental consent becomes void. Unless they consent as an adult, their vaccine record will be purged from the system in a few years. Many will need access to their vaccine record at some point in the future for college enrollment, military enlistment, employment, travel, and etc. These records frequently are difficult or even impossible to obtain years later without the use of IMMTRAC. Our goal is help these new adults avoid issues in the future.
The Junior class will be taking the ACT on Tuesday, March 5th.
We will be collecting Chromebooks and chargers on Friday, March 1st
at the end of the school day.
The cost of the TSIA2 is $20. Payment is due by Friday, March 8th. Cash or checks are accepted. Please make checks payable to Boles High School.
Turn your money in to Ms. Clifton.

National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month
National Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month (D.D.A.M.), observed throughout March, is a nationwide event to raise awareness about the inclusion of people with developmental disabilities and address the barriers that those with disabilities face. Inclusion is necessary since about 15% of the world’s population lives with a disability. D.D.A.M. is about understanding the relationship between the way people function and how they participate in society and making sure everybody has the same opportunities in every aspect of life to the best of their abilities.
