Current Registration Information for SY 2024-2025
As part of our ongoing improvement process, the District has reviewed our annual enrollment process. The following changes to are highlighted below.
- Simplified and condensed the amount of information being collected while ensuring that critical information is embedded in one process.
- Pre-populated information on sections that have already been provided to the District.
- Eliminated the need of two proofs of residence verification.
- Change of timeline from March to July.
- Modified language to make it more parent friendly.
- Reduced signatures from 11 to ONLY 1!
- Added the ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION form to assist schools with enrollment numbers. At this time, your ENROLLMENT VERIFICATION is required. We ask that you take a few minutes to complete this process by logging on to your FOCUS account. All enrollment documents may be found under your child’s name in the forms summary section. Should you need any assistance with this process, please do not hesitate to contact us.
BHS registration day will be Saturday, August 3rd. More information to come.

BPS School Board Art Show Winner
Please congratulate Riley Jinks, current BHS 11th grade student who won 3rd place at the BPS School Board Art Show in the Digital Art Category! Way to represent Bayside Riley!
Prom Tickets on Sale Now
- Prom tickets open to Juniors and Seniors. WE ARE HALFWAY SOLD OUT! MAKE SURE AND GET YOUR Permission forms turned into Mr. Sherrill. All non-BHS guest forms go to the Dean’s office for approval in advance. Once permission forms are turned in, we will create an invoice to purchase tickets in FOCUS. If you prefer to pay with cash or check, see Mr. Sherrill.
Welcome to Bayside
We are excited to announce that Mr. Brian Callinan's return to BHS as our new Curriculum Contact starting school year 2024-2025. Mr. Callinan is a former Bear graduate and faculty member. He brings experience and expertise to this role, coming most recently from the same position at Hoover Middle School. Brian’s official start date will be at the end of this school year, but we are fortunate that the district, and Hoover’s administration, are allowing him to be with us several days a week through the remainder of the current school year. Please join me in welcoming Mr. Callinan back to BHS.
Yearbook Information
Yearbook Distribution is May 8 in the gym lobby. All pre-ordered books will be distributed by appointment and those who purchased will receive a pass to come to the gym to pick up their yearbook. If you have any questions, they can reach out to Mrs. Heather Fowler at fowler.heather@brevardschools.org. Yearbooks are not on sale at this time.
Attention Class of 2024 Graduates!!!!
Graduation is fast approaching! The BHS Class of 2024 graduation date has been set for Monday, May 20, 2024 at 7:00pm in the BHS stadium. Each graduating senior will receive 8 tickets for their family and friends. Seniors are required to participate in mandatory graduation practice that morning (May 20th) starting at 9:30am in the BHS gym lobby. Seniors must attend the graduation practice to receive their tickets!
Tied Together and JA GLOW Events
Thank you so much to our community leaders and volunteers who came to support our students last week at Bayside High for the Tied Together and JA GLOW events. During Tied Together, our students had the opportunity to hear inspirational messages from our community leaders and volunteers about self-image and self-worth. The JA GLOW message focused on inspiring young women to explore the fields of STEM.
Thank you Tied Together and JA GLOW for leaving such a positive impact within our school. A special thank you goes out to Ms. Martin and Mr. Shiflet for facilitating the events!
Spring Musical
Bayside's school musical The Mystery of Edwin Drood opens next week! Get your tickets now so you can vote for the murderer in this solve-it-yourself musical. Four performances, Thursday April 25th @ 7, Friday April 26th @ 7 and two performances on Saturday April 27th - one at 2pm and one at 7pm. Admission $10.00. Come out and support the arts at BHS!
BHS Job/Career Fair April 18
JUNIORS AND SENIORS: “Save the Date” for the job and career fair in the BHS cafeteria on April 18.
If you signed up, please be sure you are prepared to attend! Period 6 will be juniors and period 7 will be seniors. Contact Ms. Davidson at davidson.jennifer@brevardschools.org with any questions.
Bayside College and Career Center and Website
The new Bayside College and Career Center is located in Room 626 and is open from 8:00-8:30 AM, from 3:35-3:50 PM and during all lunches, as well as by appointment (email Davidson.Jennifer@brevardschools.org).
Mrs. Davidson is ready to help students plan for their next steps after high school, whether it’s university, Eastern Florida, military, or any other path.

Academic Supports Reminder:
BHS faculty supports students with academic tutoring after school throughout the week.
In order to participate, a parent permission form must be provided in advance. One form will support all tutoring opportunities for the school year.
BPS Student Code of Conduct Reminder:
Please be sure you are up to date on BPS Student Code of Conduct as it outlines the expectations for all students including information on dress code, tardies, electronic device usage, and more. The information can be found on the district web site at the following link under Documents: Student Services / Welcome (brevardschools.org)
No Go List Reminder:
As posted throughout the school, students with 1 or more out of school suspension(s), more than 2 in-school suspensions, or with any financial obligations will be placed on the “No Go” List for the marking period. Students placed on the list will not be eligible to participate in events such as field trips, dances, senior events, and other special activities. If a student is placed on the No Go List, there will be NO Refund(s) for previously purchased event tickets (that includes Homecoming, Grad Bash, and Prom)!
