Join us for an amazing program that's all about the animals. This program features two different live animals and a question-and-answer session with an animal outreach specialist. Discover amazing animal facts as we compare and contrast both animals and learn more about their unique adaptations.
NOTE: Each class can submit 1 animal-related question they'd like answered live to education@fortworthzoo.org. Questions will be drawn at random and, due to time, not all questions will be answered in the program. Please include your school's name, grade level, and teacher's name with your class question.

Conflicting Evidence: 24 Hours After the Kennedy Assassination

How have the photographic, film, and physical evidence found in the first 24 hours after the Kennedy assassination been used to make conflicting arguments about what happened on November 22, 1963? Students will learn to examine primary source material as they become history detectives in this introduction to the events that took place in Dallas almost 50 years ago. Participants will examine "the corner window" from which a rifle was observed that fateful day (and below which three shell casings were found by investigators). Staff from The Sixth Floor Museum will prompt careful analysis by asking probing questions about the evidence.

You will never look at sharks the same way again! Students will have the opportunity to observe these unique animals through our real-time cameras from the comfort of the classroom. After exploring what sets sharks apart from other fish, students will practice the basics of the scientific classification system and classify a species of shark from our exhibits.

Bush’s roles in diplomatic relations when he was the United Nations Ambassador and Vice-President will be explained by student readers.
