We are so excited to see you all at Open House on August 28. And as many of you have probably seen - construction is ongoing. We ask for your grace and patience as the construction wraps up and final touches get completed.

When you arrive at Open House - there are a few things you can do:

In the MEDIA CENTER: complete the Educational Benefits Application, sign up for the Bobcat Beat and PTA newsletter. There will be staff to assist with these tasks.

In the CAFETERIA: Find out who your classroom teacher is, stop by the PTA table, pick up some needed school supplies and check your pin number with nutrition services.

EDW will welcome our BIPOC caregivers to join us for Family Engagement Circles on September 10 and September 23 from 9:00-11:00 AM. Watch for more information in next week's Bobcat Beat.

Below is the EDW school supply list for the 2024-2025 school year. Please know these are suggestions for supplies. If your family would like support in getting supplies, please reach out to the school office or connect with your child’s teacher at Open House on Aug. 28th. We have a number of community members and organizations who donate items and we are more than happy to make these supplies available to your child

EDW Spiritwear Collection

If your student has outgrown their EDW branded clothing, you can drop it off at the front office anytime throughout the year. We’ll be collecting items for an upcoming clothing swap event. As a thank you, donors will receive a voucher for the swap!.

All students will have access to a complete breakfast, lunch, and afterschool super snack at no cost. We ask ALL families to fill out the Application for Educational Benefits form (previously called Free/Reduced Meal Application) EVERY year. This form determines funding for your child’s school and provides direct benefits for your child if you qualify. Benefits include funding for:

• Waived fees for athletics, testing, and transportation for your child

• Reduced internet fees

• Social workers, paraprofessionals, and counselors

• Decreased student-to-instructor ratios

• Increased technology

• Early childhood education
