Thank you to Rich Fielding for recording the performance.
4th Grade at the Science Center
Our fourth-grade students went on their first ever field trip to the Connecticut Science Center! Everyone had a wonderful time exploring the sights and sounds of the museum, and participating in a lab guided by the Science Center. We appreciate all of our parent volunteers for supporting our students and this experience!
Update from P.E.
Students are preparing for summer picnics and parties by learning everyone’s favorite lawn games! Students are learning how to play washers, bocce, ladder ball, KanJam and of course cornhole. Watch out, these kids are ready to win this summer!
Sincerely,
Kat

Cellphones & Smart Watches
While we recognize the convenience and utility of these devices, we also want to emphasize the importance of responsible usage, particularly within the school environment.
Smart watches and phones have become increasingly prevalent among students, offering a wide range of features and functionalities. However, at our level, their use during instructional time is disruptive and detract from the learning experience. Therefore, we kindly ask for your cooperation in adhering to the following guidelines:
- Cellphones should remain off and secure in backpacks when in school.
- Smart Watches should be placed in a mode that allows for distraction-free learning, most models have a School Mode or Schooltime feature.
As most staff can attest to, service is very spotty in our building. Any urgent messaging from/to students should be communicated through our office. We appreciate your partnership in providing both your child and our staff distraction free learning.
Attendance Matters
If a student has four unexcused absences in one month or 10 unexcused absences in a year they are classified as truant. If a child misses 18 or more days in a school year – excused or unexcused absences – the student is classified as chronically absent.
