Rooms makes it easy for you to stay connected to your classes, teachers, and more. Create a password to register and get access to everything McKinney ISD.

McKinney ISD is thrilled to unveil our new mobile app, designed to keep you seamlessly connected and informed. With features like live feed, news updates, and event information, the app ensures you're always up-to-date with the latest district news and activities.

Rooms

A key highlight of the app is the new Rooms system, which aims to enhance communication between parents, students, and teachers by simplifying the digital classroom experience.

Rooms integrates class and enrollment information from the district’s student information system, and streamlines parent-teacher interactions by allowing guardians to chat with teachers directly within the app. Teachers can manage all their messages on a single platform, while students can reach out to their teachers with course-related questions. Rooms is a secure space for student-teacher communication and is monitored by administrators to ensure a safe and effective environment.

Parents,

If your child is being dismissed as a "Walk Away" and you are walking up to pick up your child, please make sure you are using the crosswalk to meet your child by the tree.

Please Do NOT:

• Stand by the doorway that the students exit from the school
• Motion for your child to cross over the carpool lane or street to meet you
• Park illegally in the school parking lot or street and ask your child to walk to your car
• Motion for your child to cross a street where a crosswalk is not marked

The safety of your child is very important to us! For safety reasons, I have asked all of our teachers on the "walk away" dismissal to not allow any student to cross a street illegally. Thank you for helping us make sure that your child and all of our McGowen students get home safely!

Lunch visitors may begin on Monday, August 26th. All visitors must have a physical valid ID (photos of IDs are not accepted) to join your student at lunch. One of the visitors must be on the student's contact list in e-school. If your student has a grandparent or grandfriend planning on attending lunch the week of September 9th-13th, they must be with someone on the contact list or be added to your contact list. To add someone to your contact list, please email Wendy Sanchez at wsanchez@mckinneyisd.net.

Please remember that when you are visiting during lunch, please refrain from taking pictures of other students or sharing confidential information about other students. Unfortunately, in the past we have had parents share pictures of other students in behaviors and share them out to other parents. Parents who break confidentiality will not be allowed to visit during lunch.
