Principal's Message
Welcome Back and Happy New Year!
I hope you all had a restful and joyful holiday season with your loved ones! As we step into the New Year, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the support we have been shown through all our fundraisers, the Book Fair and Trickster Theatre. Eckville Elementary is a wonderful school and that is because of YOU!
The start of a new year is always an exciting time, full of new opportunities to grow, learn and inspire our students. This is a great moment in the year to talk about setting goals, discussing strategies to make them attainable and how to develop a growth mindset that thrives on accomplishment.
I am confident that together, we will continue to make this a positive and successful year for all. Our teachers' and educational assistants' hard work and commitment are what make this school such a special place, and I feel incredibly fortunate to work alongside such an awesome team.
Let’s make this second half of the school year even better! I’m looking forward to all the amazing things we will accomplish together and the growth we will see with your children!
Welcome back to school, and here's to a fantastic start to 2025!
-Mr. Jay Cottell

If consent forms are not signed students cannot participate. They will be asked to bring a book to read at the arena while the rest of the kids skate. Reminders were sent out to families over the break and consent forms are now overdue. We have extended this deadline to tomorrow, TUESDAY, JANUARY 7 at midnight.

To the Bullock family, THANK YOU for your donation of the canteen supplies that will help to maximize our fundraising potential and support that all Grade 6 students can attend their CAMP at little or no added cost.

WINTER CANTEEN - FRIDAY, JANUARY 24
School Visitors - Check In at Main Office
Just a reminder to everyone that all school visitors need to check in at the main office. When students are being picked up early, please come to the office and let us know, then we can call or walk down to the classroom. This helps limit classroom disruptions and lets us ensure we know who are always in the building as visitors, in case of an emergency.
