This month we are excited to host our fall activities that brings so many families to our school. Elms Fall Fest will take place on October 4th from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. We look forward to seeing you here that evening with you child to partake in all the activities planned for the evening. A flyer was sent home last month with specific details.
Teachers and students have been working diligently on beginning or the year academics. Fall assessments are mostly complete. Teachers rely on fall assessment data to guide instruction and identify students that may need support. I encourage you to reach out to your child's teacher sooner than later if you have any questions pertaining to their academic performance. DO NOT wait until fall parent teacher conferences to see how they are doing in school. Teachers are available five days a week between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:51 pm to answer any questions you may have. Some parents will recieve a letter from our Title I interventionist indicating that your child may need a littel extra support in reading and math. If you recieve this letter, do not panic. If simply means that our title I interventionist will be providing additional support to your child in these areas. We want all of our students to excel academically. These extra supports are a benefit to your child and our school as a whole.
