The Viking Culture this year is to "Win the Day". We challenge all students and staff to pick 1 goal each day to accomplish. When you have succeeded with that 1 goal, you have "Won the Day!"

"Win the Day" type of book:

The Coffee Bean -

• Short story about a Carrot, Egg, and Coffee Bean. The Carrot and Egg allow boiling water to change its physical touch (Carrot softens and Egg hardens). The Coffee Bean actually changes its environment vs allowing the boiling water to change it.
• Objective of story: Be a Coffee Bean - control your environment, don't allow the environment to control you!

• "Flip the Script" on struggles/challenges and make them successes!
• Follow "Kaizen" - strive for continuous improvement each day!

PFSO's annual school-wide fundraiser is HERE!!

"Fall Into Giving" runs from October 2nd - October 16th. This is Cerro Villa's biggest fundraiser that supports the entire school.

• Our $22,000 goal will be used to fund: Safety upgrades! Auditorium improvements! Teachers wish list items!
• Earn a monthly school-wide Free Dress Day if we reach our $22k goal!

FALL INTO GIVING - FLYER

The stop signs on Nichols at Serrano Ave. were recently removed and replaced with a warning light crosswalk. This is part of City efforts to improve traffic flow around City schools. Pedestrians, especially local students, are strongly encouraged to activate the light before entering the crosswalk.

On Friday, October 20th, Villa Park High School will host the annual Feeder School Football Game. All VPHS feeder schools will receive tickets for students to attend the game.

Get Excited to watch the 7-1 VPHS Football team take on Yorba Linda HS! Come out and support our own CV Band students who will play with VPHS Marching Spartans!

Season #2 - FLAG FOOTBALL and GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Games begin November 6th

• FLAG FOOTBALL try-outs will be held on Wednesday, October 18th after school.

• Girls Volleyball Meeting on Monday, October 16th during Nutrition for those looking to Try-out.
• GIRLS VOLLEYBALL try-outs will be held Monday, October 23 - Wednesday, October 25th after school for 1 hour.

The Cerro Villa Parent Faculty Student Organization (PFSO) is a non-profit organization that assists the faculty and staff in enhancing the education experiences of our children.

​The PFSO assists with many programs around the school, including dances, Student of the Month, Honor Society, and the 8th Grade Promotion Party. Without your support, these events would not be possible. Most importantly, the PFSO also supports the faculty and staff at Cerro Villa in acquiring items they need for their classrooms in order to enhance our children’s educational experiences.
