There is no school on Monday, September 4, in observance of Labor Day. I hope you all enjoy the long weekend! Thank you to our volunteers who helped run our Leadership and Foundation booths at the Street Fair this weekend. We appreciate your support!

School Site Council Representatives Needed
Would you like to be a member of McPherson’s School Site Council? School Site Council consists of a group of parents and staff members that give input on plans for the school and monitor the categorical funding for the school. We are in need of 1 parent representative for SSC to serve a two-year term. Once volunteers/nominations are taken, the candidates will be voted on by our parent community. Please fill out the linked Google Form if you are interested in being a parent representative on the School Site Council by Monday, September 11. SSC meets virtually once a month on Mondays from 3:00pm to 3:45 pm. The first meeting will be on September 25.
PICTURE DAY - KINDERGARTEN THROUGH 5TH
Free and appropriate dress for Kindergarten through 5th grade for PICTURE DAY on Tuesday, September 12th. Our new picture vendor is Pictures with Class.
Order forms will go home on Wednesday for K through 5th grade students. Check your student's backpack for the order form.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT YOU HAVE TO PAY IN ADVANCE, AS THIS IS A PREPAY EVENT AND PAYMENT IS DUE ON OR BEFORE PICTURE DAY.
MIDDLE SCHOOL STUDENTS, 6TH-8TH, WILL NOT BE TAKING PICTURES ON THIS DATE. MIDDLE SCHOOL PLEASE WEAR YOUR McPHERSON UNIFORM. MIDDLE SCHOOL MAKE-UP PICTURES WILL BE TAKEN ON MAKE-UP DAY ON OCTOBER 10th.

MEMBERSHIP DRIVE EXTENDED - DON'T MISS OUT!!! We are extending the membership drive to END NEXT WEEK, SEPTEMBER 8th, so you have more time to EARN FREE DRESS for your class!
All classes with over 80% membership will earn a FREE DRESS on Monday, September 11th AND all classes with over 90% membership will earn a free dress on September 11 and a popsicle party, AND AN EXTRA $100 for their Teacher Grant.

Hello Week - 9/11-9/15
McPherson is participating in Start with Hello Week on September 11 – 15. During Start with Hello Week, we will engage in school-wide activities and opportunities that encourage everyone to build a welcoming and inclusive school culture. Please look at the schedule below, as well as the attachment for more information about our activities during this week.
Monday, September 11 – Hello Day! Greet people by their name and say HELLO!
Tuesday, September 12 – Post-It if it’s Positive Day! Leave a positive message for someone on a Post-It Note in class.
Wednesday, September 13 – Random Acts of Kindness Day! Do something kind for someone at school and encourage others to do the same.
Thursday, September 14 – Mix it up Day! Play with someone you do not usually play with and make a new friend.
Friday, September 15 – Wear Green Day! Wear green to promote Unity and Inclusivity.
MIDDLE SCHOOL E-SPORTS STARTING SOON
Middle School E-Sports club starts Tuesday from 3-4 in Mr. Turner's room. All 6-8 grade students are invited to come and play for fun and compete! The club meets every Tuesday after school. We will host several middle school tournaments this year and compete against other middle schools!
