• Free COVID-19 testing kits are now available at Westgate. Should you like one or more for your family, please contact Westgate and simply request them with our front office staff!

• We are continuing with MAP testing next week. Please refer to your teacher's communication for testing times.

• Picture Day will be September 21st. Classrooms will sign up for specific time for their photos. Please look for more information from PTA.

• We will have our annual Walk to School event on Tuesday, October 4th (weather permitting). Look for more information about the "walking school bus" routes in the coming weeks.

ABC/25 is looking for a new Westgate Grant Liaison. The mission of the foundation is, "Fostering Innovation, Creativity, and Excellence" for the Children of School District 25. ABC/25 Grant Liaison Roles/Responsibilities

• Help to drive membership through communicating the mission of the foundation and outcome of grant selections to school. Communication templates will be provided and can be used to partner with school principal and PTA to raise awareness for foundation.
• Work with teachers who were awarded Grant's to push communications via social media including pictures and/or videos of educational resources being used in the classroom/school setting
• Participate in grant selection process in early December. Read and rate all submitted grants and participate in final selection of grants that will be awarded.
• Participate in monthly ABC/25 planning and check in meetings.

Breakfast is offered at your school this year! The cost of breakfast is $1.75. If you qualify for the free/reduced price meal program, you receive breakfast for free or a reduced price of $.30.

Students can enter the main doors starting at 8:45 am and grab a breakfast from the breakfast cart. Students will sit in the cafeteria to eat. Breakfast is open until 9 am.
