UIL Academic Rock Stars! Argyle Wins 18th Regional
When it comes to the UIL Academics competition, Argyle High School is in a league of its own! For the 16th consecutive year and 18th time overall, AHS won the regional championship!
Argyle scored 441.5 points to win the Class 5A Region I title and was well ahead of second-place Abilene Wylie with 169.5 points. AHS will send 39 Eagles ahead to the UIL Class 5A state meet in Austin on May 13-15.
Congratulations to these outstanding Eagles and Coach Jessica Reynolds. The tradition of excellence continues!!

NOW OPEN: Returning Student Registration for 2024-2025
Now's the time. Get your returning Eagle registered for the 2024-2025 school year. Argyle ISD's Returning Student Registration will be open from May 1 to May 23.
Please see the following steps below to get your returning Eagle registered for 2024-2025:
1. Log into Family Access. Click here (Username: first initial, last name)
2. Click the down arrow, then ‘Family Access’ to see the student profile.
3. Click the tile labeled ‘Returning Student Registration 2024-2025’ for each student.
Please make sure to open and complete all forms. Once you are completed, the tile will say “Submitted.” Once it is approved, the tile will disappear from Family Access and you will receive email confirmation. If your registration is marked “Denied” please review the denial message.
If your student is NOT returning for the 2024-2025 school year, please click here to notify the campus where your student plans to attend school.

If you didn't have a chance to vote during early voting, Election Day is your opportunity. Election Day is Saturday, May 4 in the Argyle ISD Bond & School Board Elections. Polls are open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Election Day voting is done by precincts - we've provided this handy portal to look up your precinct to learn your voting location.

You're Invited! Come Meet the New Hilltop Principal
Hilltop Elementary parents and students come join us on Tuesday, May 7 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. to meet new Principal Robyn Campbell. Mrs. Campbell will start her new role in July.

What a great year for the Argyle High School One-Act Play. The group ended their journey in the Class 5A regional last week and finished as one of the top 16 plays in the state in Class 5A!

AISD Retirement Reception! Celebrating AISD Staff
Argyle ISD staff, students, friends and the community are invited to the Argyle ISD Retirement Reception on Monday, May 13 at 4:45 p.m. at Argyle High School.
We will celebrate our amazing staff as they head into their next life journey. We will recognize their outstanding careers and enjoy fellowship with staff, family and friends. The first part of the reception will be held in the AHS cafeteria and then shift to the auditorium for the ceremony.
Visitors can park in front of the AHS auditorium and enter through the nearby doors. The campus releases students at 4 p.m. and plenty of parking spaces will be available.
AHS Graduation: Tuesday, May 21 at UNT
The Class of 2024 Graduation is getting closer and closer! Graduation for this year's Eagle seniors will be Tuesday, May 21 at 5 p.m. at the University of North Texas Coliseum.
Graduation practice will be held Monday, May 20 at 10:30 a.m. in the AHS auxiliary gym.

Elementary Students Treated to Seussical, Kids!
What a special treat! Argyle ISD second graders across the district hopped on the bus this week for a short field trip over to Argyle High School in Canyon Falls.
They were special guests for a special performance of Seussical, Kids! by the Argyle High School Theatre Department! It was an awesome experience and they had a blast!

VIDEO: School Board Candidate Forum
The Cross Timbers Gazette hosted the Argyle ISD School Board Candidate Forum recently at the AHS auditorium. The event was live-streamed and the video is available on The Talon News YouTube Channel.
The Trustee election includes two places on the ballot. All candidates were asked a series of questions regarding a wide range of topics. The candidates included Place 4 - Josh Pezzuto and Rich McDowell and Place 5 is Dr. Leona McDade (incumbent) and Wendy McCue.

Talonettes Meet & Greet - May 9
The Talonettes will host a Meet & Greet on Thursday, May 9 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. at the Harvest Hall Playground - 1301 Homestead Way, Argyle.
This Meet & Greet is for all girls that will be in Kindergarten-6th Grade in the Fall 2024. We invite you to meet coaches, previous Talonettes and new Talonettes! Ask questions and give the girls an opportunity to meet their teammates well before camp!

Eagle Baseball Playoffs Start Today! ⚾
The Argyle Eagles will open the Class 5A playoffs with a best-of-three series vs. Cleburne in the bi-district round. Game 1 will start at 4:30 p.m. at Argyle Middle School on Thursday. The game time was moved up due to the threat of inclement weather.

AHS Hires New Boys Soccer Coach! ⚽
Welcome aboard Coach Rose!
Argyle High School has named Chance Rose as the next varsity boys’ soccer coach.
Rose previously served as a head coach at Denton Braswell, Burleson Centennial and was an assistant at Cedar Hill. He has over 10 years of head coaching experience and has led teams to the playoffs on six occasions.
During his career as a head coach, Rose’s teams reached the playoffs three times at Braswell and three at Burleson Centennial, where he was also the District 16-4A Coach of the Year in 2013.
"I am thrilled to be taking the helm of the boys soccer program at Argyle High School next season,” Rose said. “Joining this championship-level athletic department and collaborating with such a talented coaching staff is a true honor. I'm looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and working closely with our athletes to uphold the high championship standards that define Argyle.”

Argyle Archery Teams Take 2nd & 3rd at Nationals! 🏹
Argyle Archery teams qualified to compete at the NASP (National Archery in the Schools Program) Western National Tournament on April 26. Archers in both elementary and middle school traveled to Sandy, Utah and brought home a 2nd and 3rd place win!
A.J. Harbach placed 2nd in elementary bullseye with a score of 279!
Arshiya Jagotta placed 3rd in middle school 3D division with a score of 288!
