Cheetah Family Newsletter-Week 1
September 3, 2024
Dear Cheetah families,
Thank you so much for attending our Back-to-School Open House and connect with your student's teacher.
Our school district is transitioning into this new model of communication using the Smore platform. From now on you will receive an email with the link to the newsletter. The biggest benefit will be that families can click under Translate, then select the language and translate this letter in multiple languages. Just keep in mind that the translation is not 100% accurate.
Families will receive a weekly newsletter from classroom teachers with important information regarding curriculum, classroom expectations, field trips, announcements, and more. Please make sure you complete the Back to School Forms (formerly iUpdate) to receive newsletters and important updates.
Even though breakfast and lunch will be free this school year, I encourage you to complete the Educational Benefits form, even if you don’t qualify, the forms help us with additional resources to fund our program. Please contact the main office if you need assistance with this form or if you need a new hardcopy.
Reminders:
- Kindergarten students begin on Thursday, September 5th. The school day begins at 7:30 a.m. and the day ends at 2:00 p.m. You can drop off your students between 7:15 and 7:30am so they can get the free breakfast. Coffee and Kleenex provided by our PTO, stay and meet new and returning families.
- Please arrive at the bus stop five minutes before the bus is scheduled to pick up your child. It’s quite common for buses to run late on the first days of school.
- Parent Pick-Up: For all students that are picked up in cars; cars will start to line up on Hoyt. We ask that you drive down Hamline going north and take a right on Hoyt.
- Please stay in your car; a staff member will bring students to you, you don’t need a tag or number.
- Please contact the office before noon if your student won’t ride the school bus so we can plan accordingly.
- Please review the Attendance Policy Postcard for your reference.
